right....info on mapping and other work.

my new back box has been fitted, it replaces the 2.5" pipe work from the rear end of the tunnel and replaces it with 3" and also replaces my miltek backbox with a 3" internal diameter box but ive had my miltek tail pipe welded on to keep it looking the same :)

mapping began today. :)

message from mapper

Very quick update (photos will follow when I finish your car) as I am really pushed for time, in simple terms your car is an absolute animal and has way way way more power than you could possibly want/need.

At present I am pegging the boost down to 25psi as it at least gives you a little bit of an opportunity to drive her rather than just hanging on for dear life. So far we have spent the last 2 days sorting out the mapping and today should see the final results.

Kind regards

a message also got back to me from quattronics via another company.

im friends with jnl racing who are local to me. quattronics know that they know me and asked if i had actually done all the work myself as i was claiming because the standard of the build was very high.
which made me very happy :D

shame its getting mapped down
25psi tho...still should be fun

its a debatable question i know bill. BUT its a huge finacial strain even when i was on gt28.
im just trying to make people realise before its too late for them.

BT is great in manya ways but not so great in many more.

i just keep thinking of my old man and thinking that this car could easily do the same to me. maybe im just a lil low rite now. had a bad nite at the gym also. :(

DPJ, hope so. lets just hope they are still good to let me run and my gearbox makes it untill then

Hooch,
Very sorry to hear about your Dad. My thoughts are with you and you family.

Pleased to hear the cars nearly finished. I'm not surprised in anyway to hear that the turbo is a complete monster. The inlet/outlet pipe was wider than my arm if i remember correctly. Complete Beast!
As far as just buying another cupra and doing a quick map etc....well, thats how it all starts isnt it!?

Shout out for the removal of the worlds most stubborn track rod end ever!? Don't usually have to blowtorch, cut and drill them off at night in the rain do you?

Thanks for all your help that night mate (Sorry the thanks is late). Appreciated.

Best,
Michael
