312mm brakes fitted

Had the 312mm brakes fitted by JKM Performance in Pompey and they did a 60k service at the same time! Fitted the rear disc and pads I bought too as they were shot to buggery.

They look huge compared to the old ones and I'm pretty impressed by the paint job I did too. ;) No word on performance yet as they are still bedding in...

how come you never painted the calipers red before?
looks much better!

These are the popular upgrade of the 312mm discs and calipers fitted to the AUDI TT and others from the VAG range. The FR original brake discs were 288mm with small calipers. I painted these before fitting them. Will be doing the rear calipers soon!

312's are miles better, look 100% better aswell!

Should've gone for upgraded discs and pads though - they make a HELL of a difference! I had CRN discs and Ferodo DS2500's pads and those brakes had a lot more to them then my 330mm (i think) R32 brakes. AND the rear discs are bigger and vented on the R. Will definitely be purchasing new discs and pads when it's time. :)

Nice little upgrade though Mike. You could've put LCR rear brakes on while you were upgrading??? :D

Thanks Ash! Just another upgrade thats popular with the Mk4 boys! Not really breaking new ground but new for me... :p

nice upgrade! continue like that

Thanks! :)

spot on mike, you will love the change once they are bedded in.

Hope so. Allmost there with the bedding in me thinks. I have done 150 miles since they were fitted so might start to "use" them a bit more. [B)]

Looking really good mate! About time you had them refurbed and fitted ;)

Cheers Gordz, don't have a lot of time on my hands now we have the little'un!

Brakes look much better, Mike

Cheers Damo. Not as good as the 4-pot APs though... Pity they wouldn't fit under my wheels.
