Even modified?

They've been OK for me so far (though I dont have as many mods/the same mods as you) my FR TDI with mods declared (remap, strut brace and piperX air filter) comes in at under £600 fully comp, and I'm only 20! Coilovers, RARB and 20mm spacers are only going to add another £30 too :D

Have a look at greenlight insurance - they only go by the power and not visual
I pay £450 with all my mods declared -
tom

Thanks for the advice chaps!

On another note, Scanguage was reading 24degrees intake temp with an ambient temp of 22degrees cruising at 70mph on the way home from work (for a bit!) Not bad eh? I know its not booting it so heat-soak doesn't come into it.....

Update.... what update?

Nothing new to report folks. Not posted in ages!
Been away on holiday and have no spare time to spend tinkering with the car with the wife and baby at home! Usually I have the 6 weeks summer holiday to myself and would get loads done!
On the plus side: I haven't spent loads of money on mods for the car... unless you include TAX and INSURANCE as mods!? Oh, I did purchase 2 new tyres also... Falken 452.

Here is a list of the mods I have done since taking ownership of the car:

Styling
Honda stubby aerial
Debadge rear
Desticker windows
Polo rear wiper
6000k HIDs
LED sidelights
FK badgeless grill
Bosch aero front wipers
Leon Cupra "Starfish" 17" alloys
Rear badge/handle sprayed matte black
LCR splitter
Trimmed engine cover
Wing mirrors sprayed matte black
SCN stickers
Filter bracket
Silver indicator bulbs
Bonnet bra
Alloy wheel refurb (matt black)
"Euro spec" rear light cluster (fog light side)
HEKO wind deflectors

Engine and Performance
Forge 007p recirc valve
Drilled airbox
Green cotton filter
Powerflow cat-back exhaust (ebay bargain)
P-Torque stage 1 remap
Forge 007p - Yellow spring
Front fog light removal (to aid SMIC)
Boost gauge (PSI)
N249 bypass
Open cone filter
Scangauge II

Handling
SEAT Sport strut brace
Whiteline adjustable rear ARB
Eibach pro-kit lowering springs
20mm hubcentric spacers
312mm brakes

Here's how it all started...
