I have come across a possible problem :(

Went to have his alignment done today - so headed off to the only place in Leicester which can fit their equipment on my car. They set him up, did all the calibration and told me 'Your tracking and alignment is fine, your back o/s wheel is toeing in though but we can't adjust that. But your front o/s wheel has a big caster difference' :(

Which basically means, I think I bent something. But I don't know what, as everything else is pretty much perfect as it is!

did they give you a print out with the figures on nic

Yep -

Caster - Left - 1o31'
Caster - Right - 2o22'

Which is a bit out! But I've got one of the guys off clublupo to take a look at it next weekend - he's good with Arosas and reckons he'll be able to sort it, or work out what it needs doing :)

He's driving fine, its only left-hand bends I need to take it easy on, but I'm driving very carefully and sedately at the moment anyway, so he'll survive a little while longer.

I found out what was probably causing my dodgy cornering - I've got a broken coilie! Darren looked at it at him today, and with his superior strength managed to bounce the front of the car....at which point a 'fst' noise presented itself on every bounce, and it looked alot like a leaking shock.

So.....best get a new one, luckily I've still got warrenty left on them

Not yet - loooong process, as I have to get pictures of the leak to send off, but my wheel is jammed on, so I have to free that first, *then* I can clean up the coilie and see if I can find the leak.

*phew* will get there eventually - MOT in July, need it done by then

On the plus side though, I discovered an old alignment report - he's always had that funny castor angle! So I don't have to worry about that so much now

Ooo ooo ooo - I rang my insurers today......I've got a 100bhp limit on my policy :funk: Can go up to that without my premium increasing.

I have no money at the moment though - dammit! Got a friend looking up what I could do though to make it up to 100bhp though (100% increase, as I've only got 50bhp now...well, 56 according to the last rolling road  )

Me and my dad also did some work to the the car today - got the wheel off (a crowbar is a wonderful thing), had a look at the coilie...no leak. Bounced car...no noise. Bounced again...car stops as it should. I have a magical self-repairing coilover

I may have mentioned that quite a while back some manky dog chewed my rear headrests. New ones from dealers were going to set me back a whopping £180 ! I finally found a new pair after 3 months of searching and phoning around. However, they were a different pattern. Again more phoning and emailing around for a good price to get them covered, was quoted between £80 - £120 !!! I lived with them for a while but, they annoyed the hell out of me. Bought some plain headrest covers from Bulgaria but, they were too loose. I went to a local art suppliers warehouse today to see a little upholstery place underneath the unit. Popped in and was quoted £45 to get new loose fitted covers for all 4 of them - am pretty stoked cant wait to get them back. Also got a new window wiper linkage to replace broken one so no need for single wiper conversion wohoo !!!
:) Just proves that waiting is a pain but, bloody worthwhile :)

Indeedy, everything is good in the Land of Oz ! No doubt I will find something else small insignificant to annoy the hell out of me. Bit like an annoying ex boyfriend maybe  When are you back at Uni Loops ? Hotel hasnt opened yet we havent had keys but, as soon as I can I will ask for a day off to come up and pick that bumper up. I havent forgotten and Im aware of student space and how precious it is. Not worried about getting lost now I have Iris.

I've got the bumper down in Bath with me, if you have the time in the next 2 weeks. :) Would be a shorter drive for you I think.

Hehe, annoying ex's - not worth the trouble ;) Go out for a girly night with food and drinkies instead, its much more fun

I just recently got the boot trim for mine, made it slightly quieter actually.

Since this is a general thing:

I was driving round town for ages today in my 1.0S Arosa and when i got home i parked in the garage and got out to hear the cooling fan was on, it stayed on for a while.

I though it was strange as ive never heard or noticed the fan come on ever in over 2 years of owning it. I was thinking it was broken

Go back and re-order! I popped into the Leics dealership, and they could get them in by Saturday! Plus they were cheaper than the dealership on here...go figure...

Need to find out how much they are in Bath though now..
