Gear knobs - Anyone got either of these?

Really please with it, will take piccy the weekend and post, but have a look on vagparts under vw, new beetle, interior, knobs.... i think

OEM parts have new bettle turbo 6 @£32 is this the same? vag parts want £60 plus vat, pic would be good to see how it go's, any modification req?

Was going to get the one from OEM but they sold old, if i remember correctly it said the OEM one was a copy whereas the VAG one is genuine. Probably exactly the same though. Unfortunately there is some modification to do as the beetle gaitor does not fit the leon console. You need to remove the staples holding the gaitor to the plastic trim on both knobs then i just used evostick to re fix the beetle gaitor to the leon trim. 1 hours work tops and well worth it, old knob was doing my head in. Just going to clean car and will post piccys.

fitted the leather one now, and i have to say it has grown on me, so much its staying put. feels better than the FR one.

does the gear knob in the second link fit a 2001 Leon Cupra? was at a bit of a difficult angle but it had 6 gears right? if it fits that is

Its a beetle turbo one with the gaitor modified to fit my Mk2 Leon.

I that looks very good to. a vast improvement over the FR one, think a few Cupra owners will change there's to.

I was not keen on the FR gear knob when I first got the car but after driving a golf with the round knob similar shape to the first pic above I realised how cool it was to have something so chunky in your hand. It was on my upgrade list, was keen on both of the above, but I am now 100% happy with the std one!

Hey Ir, sorry to perv on your pic, but I have the same colour leon FR and like the look of your shiny bits.
