I was not keen on the FR gear knob when I first got the car but after driving a golf with the round knob similar shape to the first pic above I realised how cool it was to have something so chunky in your hand. It was on my upgrade list, was keen on both of the above, but I am now 100% happy with the std one!

There is a Seat Sport gear knob with the carbon fibre type effect that might look quite good in the FR.

Part number 5P1064320 on www.seat.co.uk has a picture, but the six speed version is 5P1064320A. £55 inc VAT +fitting.

Might even get something on ebay for the old one......

One problem to note with the top one:

The top 1/2 is metal - in cold weather its very cold, and in hot weather its very hot!

Its not THAT bad, but bad enough to notice!

Gear knob

I've just had this fitted and it feels much better than standard FR one (which is going on ebay if any one is interested).

I reckon it fits in pretty well with the FR interior - IMO......

The aluminium ones look a bit cheap, so the leather makes it a bit more upmarket and matches the steering wheel - the carbon fibre effect then kinda goes with the rest of the trim.

Quite pricey but just couldn't get used to the std one.

I have the 2nd one - http://seatepac.gedas.co.uk/image.as...tno=1P1064321A

Dont bother, it looks nice on the picture however in the flesh it looks really cheap. I havent bothered changing it as it wasnt cheap and was already fitted to the car when I picked it up. My brothers Fiancee has the 1st one (however the top is leather), much better one, looks and feels quality.
