Sweet mate! Nice guide! Looking forward to it now haha. Hope you don't mind me copying the idea.

Nah not at all lad work away ;) just take your time coz it's pretty easy to **** it up, I almost did a couple of times and my only saving grace was being generous with the film. The interior door handles are a gift to do, they just prise off with a plastic trim tool http://www.demonaudio.co.uk/product/Trim-Removal/185/BOJO-ATH-5-NGL.aspx

Will be adding a few more small details in the next week or so so watch this space. A mate who's into his photography has offered to do a bit of a photoshoot so I'm on the lookout for a few cool locations [B)]

Cool. I have some trim tools so it should be easy enough. I'll post some pictures when I have completed the wrap. Tempted to do the steering wheel trim to.
Any idea if the surround around the actual door opening handle is removable? I think it would be cool to wrap that!

I've already looked at the silver steering wheel trims, in my opinion it can't be done, just too many edges. I did see replacement pieces on eBay a while back which I think clip on over the originals, from what I remember I think they had a Seat part number too. If I could I would have them wrapped too, along with the silver speedo surrounds and the door handle surrounds you mentioned. Think I've gone as far as I can with wrapping stuff tbh

Te steering wheel has been done before. I can't remember who did it though. I just had a go at removing the surround on the pull door handle. Can pry at it, but doesn't want to budge. Maybe screwed from the other side. I will have another go when summer comes around!

How do you get the cover off the airbag to do all the way round it though?

It was lucifor, can't remember the rest of his username. But he did all the interior including the steering wheel.

Lucifer666 was his username, had a really mad interior

* update 19/05/12 - back bumper wrapped*

This has been a long time coming but I like to do things at my own pace :D

So finally a date was arranged with Andy formerly from SmartSkin, a local company who specialise in vehicle wrapping. Firstly would just like to say a massive thanks to Andy for his time and patience lol I wouldn't have the patience to do what he does!

So here she is up on the ramps ready to be wrapped

Then a template was made using Hexis backing paper

Then the template was applied to the vinyl which is Avery 700 series which has a 7 - 10 year lifespan and was cut and applied

Then we started on the lower rear lip

And a bit of trimming...

And since yesterday was a pretty good day I took advantage of it and took to testing out my new bottle of Poorboys White Diamond. This stuff goes on and comes off so easily its great! The whole car was done thoroughly to get rid of all the tar and residue from the trees in work and then finished off with a coat of Collinite 476S. These pics were only taken with my phone so they don't really show just how clean and shiny it actually is

Looks good but I wouldn't have gone onto the bottom new white trim part.

Doesn't sit well for me for some reason IMO. Might be because it also goes underneath the bumper trim.

I love it, and am totally copying that, regardless of my parking sensors lol.
I kinda have to once I get the sideskirts fitted or the car will look really high at the back when view from the side, if that makes sense!

Might got for a more matt effect vinyl though, just to be different :)

Noooooo you can't have black starting half way up the bumper and leave the bottom white lol it'd just look incomplete! It's meant to look the same as the Cupra/Boc rear bumper, the black trim goes all the way underneath them too

I thought you might once you saw it lol it's a must if you're getting the skirts imo. I've too much gloss black elsewhere not to have stuck with the theme

Looks good mate. have to agree with char though, for some reason something just doesn't look right with the way it has been done underneath but it is a massive improvement.

Besides the 2 pointless vents at each side of the bumper and the centre exit exhaust there's not much difference so what's the problem  You can't see underneath when it's not jacked up and you can't wrap half the bumper and leave the rest

LOL, with them stood next to each other I can see the differences that are making me realise why it looks incomplete to me on yours. Like I said though, it doesn't look crap or anything but does look good.

The exhaust and vents then lol would love to fire the full Cupra kit on it but I'm not that rich lol I think it looks great! Seat should've done this to begin with
