flip key info thread

After going to about 4 different Timpsons and getting the 'can't do it' response, I thought sod it and went to VW, and oly got charged a tenner :)

But now i can't get the damn Skoda sticker out:(

Not bad, think you got a good dealer there.

My SEAT dealer wanted £170 to get a key cut. (Apparently they can't do it in the UK :rolleyes:)

just like to say i got my flip key today and my normal key is a 433 but flip was a 343 and it works fine even tho its a 3 button it all still works apart from the boot button btw i have a ibiza mk4 fr


just found out holding down the button unlock boot button it unlocked my boot woop woop :D

Got my flip key today and they have supplied me with a cut blade and not the uncut blade as it said in the item description. :shrug:

So an email has been fired off to them to see what they're going to do about it.

Is it simple enough to fit a new blank blade? The seller tells me to send the key back to them for a refund, but I'd rather just order a new blade from eBay instead of doing that, then looking for another key again.

yep easy to change the blade, just push out the small roll pin swap the blades then put the roll pin back in

Is it 433 or 434 for a 98 alhambra...

You'll need to pull your original key in bits to find out what is printed on the inside. On some keys its etched onto the inner body of the key, on others its on a slip of paper under the battery.

Although a few people on here have found that it doesn't matter what mhz you buy as they seem to be backward compatible!!
