changing turbo with out ramp can be done its a bit of a pain but i managed it on my own had to remove manifold and just undone front pipe bolts which let it drop down out of way but undoing the front pipe bolts is a mission on its own as well as undoing water pipes from turbo and block took me 7hrs to do but worth it in my case.I built my own turbo ive got a ko4 off audi tt225hpmachined out original ex housing from ibiza to suit bigger shaft fan then had the inlet clam shell from tt basically cut and sut so could have original bend from ibiza clam shell on it so boost pie etc would locate back in original place infact when u look under bonnet it looks kike standard turbo apart from the samco 90 degree elbo coming of the front of.lets just say pulls like a train now just waiting to get another remap to take it to maximum performance.

So, if i'm thinking along the right lines........Our K03 actuator has 2 ports rather than the conventional 1.

Presumably one vacuum goes to the N75, were does the other go?

Secondly, surely if the Mk3 Cupra is ment to run the 2 vacuum lines, aren't you going to be sending the wrong signals to the ECU?

Can you not take the 2 port actuator off the K03 and put it on the K03s?!?

I removed my ko3 on monday and i used the wheel changing jack (which doesnt go very high) and then wedged a wheel ramp under the subframe!!! I could just squeeze under! Didnt take that long either!

Would a 2003 leon cupra (180bhp) have a ko3s?

Also can i run satge 1 revo with a ko3s? or do i need a custom map?

Cheers guys :D

I'll be taking mine to a professional outfit to get it fitted. If anything goes wrong then you'r in the S**T!

Ain't much better if you use a 'proffessional' outfit - you will just pay more in labour if stuff goes wrong.

Valid point lads, but surely to do it properly your gonna need a ramp to get it high enough.

I could probably do it, especially if i see it being done once. Its just that its my only car so if i havent got the right tools to do it in the first place its kinda put me off.

How long a job is it really? And could you use axle stands? seriously.

And half the time they are no more skilled than us :(

I'll be doing it myself as I can afford to spend all day on it and if push comes to shove and I can't use my car for 3/4 days I'll simply use my R6 :D

I have the right tools (all I needed while working in Audi) but a ramp/pit would be handy.
