dump valve noise...?

helloooo, ive got the forge 007p and a big jetex filter no remap and still got the n249 etc in place. since im new to turbo cars this might be a retarded question but the dump valve whooosh noise on gear change or lift off only happens every now and again.

sometimes its there and stays around for a bit when going thrrough the gears, then other times theres little to no noise at all.

is this normal is all i wondered?

From what ive read the 1.8T is a recirculating valve and isnt ment to make the sound!

this is true but the noise still occurs somehow? friend has the 007 dv aswell and his makes the noise the all the time... but then again he has done the n249 removal and is remapped etc.

Do the N249 bypass and you will hear it alot better

having no remap aswell your not creating lots of boost to get a nice woosh sound as there is not alot of boost being released.

get a remap sorted and you will notice it alot more. also a forge tip if you want a nice loud turbo spool sound.

More boost definately = more wooosh!

Mine is actually quite loud, although its opn coldside it was still pretty loud when it was in the tip

Does relocating the dv improve the sound?
