Yes I am.
I would still like even more though ;)

Only problem is I don't really see an improvement in fuel economy, and I'm not driving faster than before.
Last time I had a remap I saw around 15% and was really happy.

Dean, do you see an improvement ?

You can see my figures earlier in the thread. Up very slightly from standard when taking it easy

On my 200 mile motorway commute where i stick at 70 and a bit of 50 through the roadworks I got:

65.5mpg standard
64.3mpg 4+2
68mpg 4+1

On a 30 mile round trip I do each Friday which has a bit of everything and where I drive much harder I got:

54mpg standard
49.6mpg 4+2
52.9mpg 4+1

(I know this is a very small distance to measure brim to brim but I did use the same pump at the same station each time)

Well that is a good analysis !

I drive a lot but on many different roads so can't compare like that.

your commute is long enouth to do that.
Would you mind trying it in map 2 and 3 ? to see if there is a real difference ? That would be really helpful !

I would expect the 4wd s tronic to mirror the book combined figures and be about 10mpg down. 38 + 10 is not far off of my general driving figure of 49 on 4 + 2.

I don't really like 2 and especially 3. They make it more diesely. I cant imagine it would make any difference unless your are really driving it hard as 2 and 3 just adjust the high load output - the lower half of the map is the same.

69mpg the leon I think, band B not D. I can only get that at 65mph when it's up to temp. Most cars over the last 5 years or so I find the combined figure is more like the best you could ever expect on a perfect run.

I find 65/70 better than 55 by the way.

Never tried + 3 on any map. You?

For any interested parties, we have the vRS booked into Motoscope in Northallerton this thursday. Well be running map 4 plus 1 on the dyno which produced 226bhp on Sharks Dyno which will give us some more pub talk :)

We will also be running a new file I've just written this afternoon that Ive just added to our vRS, initial thoughts are that at least on the road the mid range pull is a lot stronger and the traction control light needs a holiday :)

As soon as receive the info back from the dyno ill update this thread :)

we won't be running on plus 2 as thats not a setting i recommend.. I do know that one of the guys on Briskoda was running on plus 3, yet my car simply throws a wobbler.

Hi Andrew, as motoscope is a 2 minute walk across the road from me then I'm definitely interested. What time are you going to be there as sadly I need to be in York during the morning :(
