Hey dave, car is looking mint! Here in the Netherlands it snowed a lot as well the last few days and frankly i hate it...makes everything slippery and absolutely dirty.

Anyway was wondering about your water/methanol system. I recently bought a G60 which has a Aquamist system fitted to it, but I am unsure about the working of it and filling it.
I was told it needed a mixture of methanol and distilled water. Is this what you use, and if so at what mixture?
Furthermore, did you use regular silicone vac hosing to lead the mixture through?

this is my set btw on the right, now running off the window jet reservoir (can't begin to imagine why someone would do that tbh; so will deff be changing that shortly!)

Hi!
I use 50/50 Distilled water and methanol. I found that the filter on the nozzle clogged up quickly with normal tap water. I think the methanol makes limescale precipitate out. No, the pumps are quite high pressure - I use nylon tubing rated at about 20 bar. Loving your car. :)

Hey dave thanks for the quick reply. I have actually taken out the fuse of the aquamist until i figure out how it works and what i need the refill it with, so this is a great help.
Also had a quick look on ebay and see that nylon tubing is widely available. Think the boot solution you have there with your reservoir is excellent. The odd 5 litre reservoir I have now finishes under 1 tank so having a larger tank like yourself is a good alternative.

Btw thanks for the compliment on the car. I'm liking it too although its got plenty of work left in it ;)

Be careful just turning it off, if the car is tuned to use it you may run in to a serious problem, like blowing up your engine.

yeah thats what i was thinking as well so wanna get it sorted asap. Though i must say that with this snow I have been driving the Jetta with the Kompressor off (i have a button inside the car to switch it off). I get huge wheelspin in second gear on dry tar, so with this snow and kompressor on, its practically impossible to get the car moving

but good point

Nice Dave,
will you need a full geo alignment after your tweaks.
interested to hear your opinion after fitting these. (did you not fancy the Audi TT bushes)

Dave
If they are early arms, with the smaller front bushes, then the tt items are plenty stiff enough.
They will make an amazing difference to how yours handles.
You've got loads more adjustability on height, camber and castor angles, and properly set up, you'll be amazed at the difference.

Later arms with the bigger front bushes, John. I'm thinking about putting the race rose-jointed bushes in the rears of the wishbones.

Nice!!!
Are you running a LCR position front ARB?
As above, the handling will feel great after this, you thinking about getting a quicker rack too?

Looks like you got a spare set of bottom ball joints there dave.
Hang onto them as they're effin expensive.
I'd just fit standard tt bushes dave. If my car got any stiffer, I'd start loosing teeth.

Just spotted there's no bosses on them for your arb, so you'll have to go tt arb, So your subframes coming off, so you may as well fit tt subframe bushes.

Should all fit......... I have a Neuspeed front bar and I think the only differ is droplinks. I'm hoping my Porsche calipers will sit in the same position on these hubs.

I've thought about swapping the rack, but I think I'd like to spend on a wavetrak first.
