I am waiting on the fitment of yours before I make further movement to change mine Mark. I am very interested in flow figures as well as the ultimate output/graph vs the Dbilas.

It was not meant as a negative comment Rob ;)

The thing is this. I have used the same r/r for all my runs. On the cars first run, it made 257bhp the same day a stage 2 Astra VXR made 268bhp, a stock VR6 Golf made 178bhp and various other cars which all made what was expected including a stock Civic Type R at 196bhp etc.

At every other run since that day, my car has produced numbers which are in line with other similar cars on here within minutes of other cars getting what is expected of them on the same rollers - like an RS4 making 403bhp, mostly stock MK1 Focus RS making 220bhp Rob Dons Leon making 317bhp etc, all of which are expected from the cars.

I therefore have a hard time swallowing the logic that my car actually makes 20bhp less than has been measured on a properly calibrated rolling road that other cars make expected figures on based on the results of one single rolling road that gives lower figures for one type of car than any other r/r.

Regardless, I am happy that I have tracked the progress of the car at various stages regardless of peak bhp and ft-lb figures.

Wasnt taken as 1 mate :)
intresting read about the various dynos though , jkm did put a comprehensive write up somewhere about their rolling road method and how they keep things consistent.

Who's that, Rob Or Tom? I was going to do that anyway soon, just to put this rest! As you know, when I first put my car on your rollers I was a bit underwhelmed. We've dyno'd my car twice now in the last two weeks with all the mods done and the results were within 4 bhp of each other. Also all the other figures on Saturday were there or thereabouts as would be expected (apart from a few, always to be expected, can't please everyone) The main thing is the INCREASE in power for me, not the absolute power, otherwise we could've wound the boost up, put race fuel in and printed off the results! What I've got is a docile car that delivers when required..... Will go to JKM sometime, maybe anyone in the South that wants to make a day of it???

just because something is consistent it doesnt mean it is accurate.

what is this? pick on me day
did i mention the word accurate?
consistent is important because if it is your local rolling road and you add mods you can see what difference they have made to your car.

Pretty much how I feel Rob, that's why I've been to TSR on many occasions to log the improvements, not just to get a headline figure....... The 364 was an increase of 65hp over my stage1 figure by adding Twintercooler, ITG CAI and Milltek D/P, along with tweaks on the Stage 2+

its just logical to do it that way.
your car is coming on well mate , looks very strong ;)

Providing your happy with the results i don't see what the issue should be, nothing can be 100% unless we organise one massive RR day and everyone gets the same results. Something at superchips would be good or even AMD.... every dyno operator does things differently so if you use the same rr and operator then irrespective of the actual figure the improvements that you make with modifications should should be consistant to the base figure.

Rob, isn't it about time you got a miiltek on the car and started on the long road to financial ruin like the rest of us :)

i wasnt picking on you rob, and it was me that mentioned the 'accurate' word.
its just its all too easy to get led up the garden path with any figure. apparently i weigh about half a stone more on the scales at my mams house, even 10 minutes after getting weighed at my house. and i have no idea (and frankly i'm not bothered) which one is right. but by using the same one regularly, it doesnt matter which one, i get a good idea of the trend.
the same applies to rolling roads.
c'mon, gimme a hug ;)

Dead right! No clutch slip, tho I have had it twice in the 8 mths I've had the car, strangely if I give the clutch a bit of (light) deliberate abuse,, on the basis that if it's slipping I've nowt to lose, it goes away. Reckon it glazes a bit cos I barely use the clutch, just to get it into gear and change gear cos if I give the car any beans when pulling away it just lights up in the first 2 gears so I take it easy on take-off.... Cars just awesome now, just the right balance of power and traction, I can play with the wave of torque or not, just choose! Hopefully I won't get the "Reckon this car's getting slow" feeling like I had with the stage one...................
Re: dogbone, it's a powerflex insert that comes with the DP, fills in the gaps in the standard one so there's less movement, I'll try and get it in soon and let you know, maybe a full new race inser is the way to go like Rob suggests, we'll see.....

Do you have an uprated clutch then? i Have a sachs clutch on my leon which is same bhp as yours and after 300 miles since it was fitted its starting to slip again.

Does anyone know whether miltek are going to make an exhaust manifold for the Leon Cupra 2.0 TFSI?

As far as I know it's std but I didn't have the car from new. Even so 300 miles is "£$% all mileage even with a tuned engine to fail unless you've a leaky gearbox seal or something......
