Been up to BCS Automotive since yesterday to get my brake calipers and wheels refurbished. To say I have had a mare of a day is an understatement. It seems every time this car goes into anywhere where I'm going to give her an upgrade I ALWAYS get a call saying ..."we had problems with the..." Or ..."We done this but we couldn't do that because of such and such"...

To say it pees me off is an understatement and today just the simple act of bleeding the brakes the car decides to have another hissy fit. Get told it won't let me bleed them. So call my garage and they offer some advice...to no avail.

Get told it needs VagCom to bleed the Master Cylinder but (of course that'll be tomorrow and I have work). So arrange a local Vag garage in Nottingham to sort it out. Had to also book a recovery truck and a train ticket to come and collect it tomorrow evening. Oh did I say it'll cost £45 to bleed the system on VagCom?

Still don't know if this'll fix it but funny enough car ran fine on the way up...funny that isn't it.

Next thing is WMI on the 3rd and tbh just lately anything I do to this car (for the good) these days results in more frigging money and drama. I may just not fit the WMI now even though I want it and have it at home.

I have a few pictures and I'm sure this silver for the wheels isn't 'hyper bright silver' that I always have.

The Brembos and rear calipers are all done and tbh today I was waiting for the call to say ..."sorry you have a piston that needs replacing and we havent got it in stock"...blah blah blah but that didn't happen. See above.

Some pics of the brakes. Excuse the rank discs these will be going when my new floating ones turn up. Hmm what issues will I have with those I wonder? Hmmm

I feel your pain, just been through a set of injectors failing after a fuel pump upgrade but then again once they are fixed and you are back on the road / track its all worth while.

Hi mate. Thanks.

I have to say I was deeply impressed with the service they provided tbh. They did eventually get the brakes bled but tbh I'm still not happy with the pedal feel but I've got some new discs on the way so will get it all bled properly. If I need a new master cylinder then so be it.

Basically they:
• High end Porche red front and rear.
• Refurbish what needs refurbishing internally.
• Fitted decals.
• Fitted them.
• Painted Alloys.

What they also did was:
• Offer to pay my train fare home.
• Instead Arron DROVE me home to Luton.
• Arranged Vag Garage to VagCom brake bleed.

So yes, I'm going to write them a review on the social forums as I was impressed. Just the pedal feel of car ATM but hopefully that'll get sorted at some point.

Had a trip down to Southampton today. Company called Hexcode. They fitted my WMI.

Can't recommend Alfie enough. He done a great job. Basically I have a 4 Quart tank in the boot. He has fitted the pump in the wheel well where my full size spare is...it's almost like Seat knew as the size is perfect for the pump.

Seeing a lot of the lower dash come out and having my Defi gauges slightly moved forward (to allow space for new wiring) wasn't pleasant. Also seeing the trim coming out just screamed THIS ISNT GOING BACK IN ONE PIECE!. But fortunately it did. A wire also came out of the back of the Defi link meter gauges too and he re fitted a new longer wire for me. Great.

I had the solenoid fitted by the coolant bottle. Nozzle down the front and all cable tied beautifully. It looks a professional job. Very pleased.

I swear this car just does not like going to garages where she will be worked on. Much like a pet knows when he is going to be out down...this car just KNOWS it's going to have a hissy fit every single time.

It's getting to the point where (as you can tell with last few posts and £££s spent that I'm getting the love back but just recently and today actually the love is begining to wane.

Took to R Tech today and they rightfully noticed another boost leak right up by the bulkhead. I already replaced all the pcv which was the previous leak but they tell me there's still one more thing to remove (that I couldn't do).

Have no idea what the leak is at back of bulkhead and tbh up till that point car pulling like a train. I pull into motorway and I heard a bang (similar to the sump guard hitting floor, so I assume that's come loose. Was 2 traffic lights away from my house and I heard the bang again then car shaking like crazy as I pull into my car park.

He'll knows what it is just waiting for RAC.

Cheers buddy think it was brake servo pipe. RAC inspected it and it's sheared in half. Done a makeshift temp solution ATM and it seems ok

So next big jobs are fitting my floating brakes, fuel pump, new servo hose (£52 I kid you not), getting rear tints and lastly ordering my new Corbeau seats.

I really miss the old meets back in the day but I think a lot of the old lads have sold up and moved on. Then my LCR became a work tool and I think I done 22k in one year in it so last 18 months has been getting it back to an ok standard but it's taking soooo much time and unfortunately money and patience (neither I possess).

But to answer your question yeh should be cool. When's your next meet up and where you guys based?

I doubt many people have both... If you have money you get someone else to do it lol

We try to do meets all over the place but currently we have a strong following in the north for some reason... Our next meet is 1st September in Doncaster with 25 cars currently in the list. We've been Blackpool, Castleton, Donington and another Doncaster. Looking at getting one done in the Midlands soon hopefully then Essex way maybe next year. Finding locations and dates is the fun part.

I wasn't part of the old scene as cars is a recent thing for me but if that's just turning up and talking about cars and not being a bunch of tools then i'd say the scene is back haha

Not wishing to jinx things but here's my car at R Tech back in June/July getting the base map put on before had various PCV issues etc.

Yes the engine bay was proper dirty and the Dyno pics aren't great but thought I would post them.

Car is still stock K04 at stage 2 ISH. Torque was set lower due to various PCV issues which I'm still sorting. Also Pre Water Methanol too.
