Be intresting to hear your thought's on these Doc. These are what I'm going to go for if the spare cash ever appears Are these the adjustable rebound ones? I know there's a HT and a GT, can't remember which is which? How much If you don't mind me asking?

They are the GT's, they are only height adjustable. It was only after reading very positive reviews that i decided that i wanted them, it's reassuring to know that they are built by KW, they may only be galvanisned but as long as you clean them once every 6 months them they'll be fine, plus they have a two year warranty which is nice.


Im stuck in Dubai at the moment, i was supposed to be back last week, so i've had to delay getting them fitted, if i honest that's annoyed me more that than being stuck out here.

Well today my Forge DV 007P arrived in the post, i've taken some time of to do some studying. But i couldn't resist fitting it.

i managed to fit it in under 15 mins, straight away i took it for a drive to see if i could notice any difference. First thing i noticed was it was a lot smoother, on full and part throttle.

Once the engine had warm up i gave it some beans and i straight away i noticed how much harder it pulls once it was full boost, my old standard DV must have been shot to pieces. I wasn't really expecting too much, but i was pleasantly surprised to find it was a vast improvement.

As it was such a lovely day I gave her good clean and took her for a drive to get some photos.

LOL thanks for the vote of confidence Moffmeister, all the same i'll get my mechanic mate to do the rest. If i had a space where i could do the bits my self then i'd have a go but i live in a flat so no driveway or garage space.

Well i finally had my coilovers fitted, they've been sitting in spare room for a couple of months now, so its long overdue.

Anyway here's how she looks, its only been a few day since I've had them fitted so they need to settle a bit more before i get laser 4WA.

Im really pleased with the stance, it just how i wanted it. I was a little worried whether i'd have any issue with the splitter, but fingers crossed it been fine. Unfortunately we found a nail in the rear OS tire, so i had to put the spare wheel on as a replacement, unfortunately its not repairable, so i now have odd tire on the rear.

I had a few good blast on my favourite B-roads and it was absolutely flawless. It's so much more precise, you can place it just where you want it on the road without having to make any adjustments. It corners so much flatter with little or no body roll, it makes for very safe progressive driving.


Just to top off the nail in the tire i broke down last night with a suspected coil pack failure.

I've order 4 replacement coil packs, i'll be picking them up tomorrow after work so i can fit them tomorrow night. So i'll have to wait and see if that fixes the problem... fingers crossed!

Cheers mate, i'm waiting for the suspension to settle then i'll make some adjustments. The front can still come down a bit more! I'm just going to have a play around and see what looks and more importantly what feels better!

Really liking the stance of the rear set the front the same and sorted. Hopefully mine looks similar when i get back and pick it up.

Since fitting your coilovers do you ever have your ESP kick in??
I have/had (rear springs sent back due to being uneven) the same kit and on sweeping or sharp bends it keeps trying to brake causing big understeer
Be interesting to see but i do have uprated front and rear ARBs

Had a look at the coilpacks last night and one has definately gone, so after work i'll fit the new ones and all being well i'll be driving my car later tonight!

@ Ronin225... No i havent fella. I generally drive with it switch off though, i prefer to have complete control of the car. There's nothing worst than having the car suddenly decide you're using too much gas, and cutting the power half way through the corner.

Don't change all the coil packs.
just swap them one by one till you get to the one thats gone.

I had a look at them last night and i worked out which one is gone, i'll replace them all and keep the one's that work as spares just in case. I havent got VAG com unfortunately.

Thanks mate, its strange i caught my splitter more before it was lowered than i do now. I’m now more aware of how I drive and a bit more careful, and as a result I’ve had no issues what so ever! It’s helped by the fact that car doesn’t dip nearly as much as before as its much stiffer.

I was worried that with the speed bumps, pot holes and funny angled curb risers that I would be forever catching and scrapping but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The most important thing for me was function over form.

The ride is ever so slightly stiffer than before but the difference can only really be felt around town at low speed, and the difference is barely noticeable. For such a small compromise in the ride the cars handling is superb. Surfice to say I’m very impressed!

Your right about the spacers, I’m looking around at various options at the moment. I’m thinking 15mm spacers for the rear!
