Have you had a smoke test to see if there's any leaks in the hoses? Mine has similar symptoms the past few weeks, going into limp mode, dpf light on etc. Turned out to be the seal had gone on the hose that comes off the EGR/ASV. Replaced the hose and its been fine since.
