Thanks Liam appreciate you taking the time to read. The new head unit is great really impressed with it. Bluetooth hands free is also crystal clear. Standard speakers sound better than before. For my needs I wouldn't change them.

Cheers tom. It's great and looks nice too for a single din.

Still waiting on the fascia surround. They tried giving me one for a Vauxhall originally in the shop. They ordered another wrong one in too. Have ordered one myself now due any day. Be good to get the stereo finished off.

Looking at getting a Brodit vent mount and pro clip for my phone so I can use the stereo app and have it all within easy access.

In the mean time I have been prepping my s3 vents.

I decided I wanted to keep the red adjusters from the lcr rather than the silver ones on the audi vents. Went to just swap the middle slat over but turns out the lcr ones are slightly longer got a bit sad until I realised I could do this.....

The adjusters come apart...

So done the same to the Audi ones and swapped them over. Finished product...

Attention to detail but I think the red with red illumination will look cool.

Will get the rest sorted out and make the loom up soon. Can't wait to get them fitted!

So it's been a busy evening working on the vent mods. First up was to pull apart my trial one from the other day and fit my liquid gauge..

Next up was the passenger side. Thought I'd show a step by step to keeping the red LCR adjusters.

Time to pull them apart and swap bits over...

So took out both of the middle vents slats.

Not too easy to see but the LCR one is slightly longer. Not a case of just swapping the slats over unfortunately. But a small screwdriver and I split the adjusters in half and removed from the slats...

Swapped them over and glued back together on the other slat and fitted back into the vent. Finished product...

Then onto the middle vents....what a pig to get out. A couple screw drivers to prize an edge free then fingertips to prize them out. Same again for them with swapping the red adjusters over. Needed a bit of a clean though...

Some gtechniq w2 and they were looking good as my LCR ones...

Cheers Tom. She is getting there but a lot still on the list lol. Will get the middle vent fitted again tomorrow.

Then all I need is to make a loom up using the plugs I got hold of. Then plug all the vents in and wire to the dimmer switch. Watch this space.

Got the centre vents back in today. Not pushed all the way in mind as they will have to come out to wire up and didn't fancy the grief like I had taking the other ones out lol

Even after a blast off after a short dwell time you can see the gtechniq c1 and Exo coating on the bodywork still well and truly working. The c5 wheel armour means dirt literally falls off the wheels with a blast too. Sooooo easy to maintain.....

Then a quick 2 bucket method wash with gtechniq g wash and dry and she's looking mint again....

Not bad for a quick clean. Will get a proper one in the spring. Was probably about 6 weeks of road grime there though.

Sorry not much of a build thread today but wanted to share some of my toys and products experience. Autobrite lance is brilliant and I stand by all gtechniq products!

Thanks . To be fair I was "lucky" some idiot covered it in paint because last year it got a complete wet sand correction including wheel and calliper refurb costing over £2500 to their insurance company! It was nice before but not this nice!
