update.
I had a chance to check the car in direct sunlight shortly after and the car is full off swirls. There were still large patches of dirt up the side with brush marks all over it
It is blatantly obvious they have washed it with a brush.
Anyway I phoned them back (Holders of Congresbury btw) and complained. I was put through to Rob the service manager (the same chap who told me previously there was no such thing as refurbed MAFs until I got a part no. from another dealer at which point they suddenly appeared on his system)
Rob's idea of customer service is completely non existent, it was so pathetically obvious he was saying anything he could to get out of trouble. I asked him what touches the car when they wash it, he said nothing it's just a jet wash. Absolute boll*cks, he then goes on to say he doesn't know what they use to wash the car!!! Make up your mind, which is it? Anyway we argue, he tells me to bring the car in so he can look at it, fob off anyone?
I put the phone down and 5mins later I get a call from a woman from Holders asking how my service went the other day!! I explained the
problem and she was very helpful, she took responsibility that they did something they were told not to do and she mentioned possibly getting the scratches polished out and she will speak to Rob.
Anyway, 4-5 days later I haven't heard anything back so I email Holders FAO the woman I spoke to and get a reply this morning saying the person I need to speak to is the service manager Rob but he's not back until tuesday. I just know I'm not going to get anywhere, I'm so furious they treat customers cars this way, just think what they do behind closed doors in the workshop!
Any advice?
How much would a bodyshop charge to remove the swirls roughly? The
problem is you look at the car under normal conditions and you'd think, what's wrong with that? Direct sunlight (non existent atm) at it's obvious there clearcoat is damaged, lots of straight scratches up and down the length of the car and side to side along the roof (I wash with a soft wash mit and not in the same direction, it was 99% swirl free before I know this)
Service was expensive aswell, 40k inspection service less air filter and I provided the oil, £215
