How much more power/torque do you think you're running now you have the new exhaust Damien?

I've been doing a bit of digging round the readers rides section, looking at peoples torque figures in particular. I looked at yours and Kriso's old car as they're the only mk4 cupras with stage 2 that I'm aware of. I also looked at all the k03/s hybrids too. Every single car, even the standard k03s cars such as Kriso's and yours (at a guess with your new exhaust) are easily putting out 270lbft+. Some of the hybrids are nearer 300lbft.

Why is mine only 255ftlb? I mean, I'm happy with the performance, but im really beginning to wonder why its so comparitively low. All the hybrid guy seem to have an uprated N75, either the J version or the ECS race one, but I believe Kriso and yourself both run standard N75's. Aside from that, my spec is no different to any other hybrids. Ian_Cupra has exactly the same setup bar the N75 (iirc after searching) and he's getting 285lbft! Kriso got 270lbft on a normal k03s ffs!

I really don't know why mine is only 255lbft!! :( surely the dyno lottery isn't +/-30lbft is it?

My mate that I sold my k03s to keeps dead level with me in a Mk3 Cupra which is pretty disappointing considering his turbo swap cost him around 1/6 of the price of mine :ban:

Have you got uprated manifold? When i last had mine on the dyno Spanny also had his dynoed with INA manifold and made 280+ftlb and something like 245bhp.

I think mine must be around 240bhp and 270lb/ft now Rich.
I've also added 1.5' of timing with Lemmiwinks too. Bill reccons that 3' of timing gives a gain of 10-12bhp, so hopefully the timing I added have added 5bhp :)

On my last dyno run I made 225bhp and 255lb/ft and that was with the standard exhaust on too.

What map are you running, Rich?

Spanny's car is now stripped back to standard (apart from the INA mani as he couldn't get it off, if he could of it would be on my car now :)), thats where my Miltek system came from ;)

Aparently, my down pipe was Rach cupra's old one. Still in perfect condition too..

No, I'm still running the standard manifold at the moment. I still think my torque is low though, even for that. Kriso had 270lb/ft, and Damo probably has similar to that now, maybe more with adding a bit of timing :( If I ever get enough money together, I'll probably go for one of the new JBS cast manifolds. They look pretty good, as long as the holes all line up. I did have an INA manifold, but it needed work to fit it as Bill at Badger5 said about JamieBennett's one. Also seeing pictures of INA compared to standard, theres no deflector in the collector, so the gases from runners 1-4 collide before going to the exhaust. Even the standard manifold has that. I sold the INA one on to save on labour costs of getting it fitted. I could probably have done it myself to be honest, I just didn't have the inclination to do it in such a tight area.

I'm running custom code 3. It seems fine, and pulls really well, but I only had a stage 1 map before so a hybrid turbo is gonna be stupidly quick in comparison lol. It just annoys me that everybody else has more torque. I'm not begrudging yuor results at all, I'd be extremely happy with those results if I had the same mods as you, especially with standard exhaust. I just think I should have more torque for the amount of money I spent thats all

I'm going to have a good check for boost leaks when the weather clears up. (It's been raining 3 days straight here now!) I may try a different N75 too at some stage.

My new TIP just arrived so I need to fit that now. Hopefully I'll be able to do it from the top with the airbox and SAI out the way :)
