Forge TIP & DV and a open cone filter.

Will said if I fit a down pipe I should get another 5-15bhp and 20-30lb/ft.

I think tha SAI is more for emisions, so removing it just cleans up the bay a little.

I just double checked this and according to Elsawin there is no EGR system or valve, but there is a combi valve which is used when the SAI is in operation. It works in a similar way to an EGR valve but doesn't recycle exhaust gas into the air intake like an EGR valve. Looks like the 2 things get mixed up quite alot tho.

Looking good mate, I've been tempted to get a cone filter but I think my under bonnet temps are too hot. Is it just a louder turbo woosh noise?

By the way mate, re this ^^^^

After driving 4+ hours back from p-torque today, got home opened the bonnet and the filter was actualy cold to touch. I was very surprised.

Tomorrow I will mostly be removing the SAI, blanking the combi valve and adding resistors to replace N249 valv etc.

Yea, thats pretty good actually! Whiteline ARB will transform handling as much as remap transforms power :drive1: i got the back out on a roundabout last week while pushing it...I lifted off after pusing it round in 2nd and the back came out slowely...just had to turn into it and give it a bit of gas and it came back! Won't be doing that again too soon tho.

I just by-passed the N249, didnt bother with resistors and I dont get any error codes or anything. Are they really needed?

What will this mod do exactly?

I think its mainly used for controlling emissions and not realy needed so by removing it it cleans up the engine bay.

Yea, realy looking forwad to getting the ARB mate.

I have done the N249 bypass the same way as you mate and have done for about 6 month but just thought I'd do it properly while im removing the SAI and make it look much cleaner.
