So on Monday im off to AMD to get the fuel pump fitted along with my INA manifold.

Going to get the map tweaked to take into account the new mods and then get it RR'd to see what gains the mods have made.

Almost there really, just need to send off my old KO3 to CRT in a month or two and get it mapped up by Badger5 when funds allow. Already have my BAM injectors and 3'MAF sitting in my room so i think thats about it. Could do with some uprated engine mounts aswell.

Comments welcome :D

Yeh im very interested to see what gains if any are made. The car made 225bhp last time so maybe 5-10bhp more?

To tweak the map AMD are charging me between 30-50quid, which i suppose is not that bad. Its all going to be done on the road with a laptop. Think the car was running lean by the look of the last set of spark plugs so that needs to be sorted aswell with the fueling. Then a RR so finish. Excitied:D

Its taken me a while to get to this stage and will probably take me till after xmas to get the hybrid all done and dusted, then i will stop modding it and save up for an Evo5, always wanted one :)

The way i have done it is to just try and get the parts bit by bit nice and slowly, im not in any rush after all. Should be good fun when its all done though. Watch this space for RR results on Monday

Just got back from a day at AMD Essex having my INA manifold, LCR fuel pump and map tweaked. The drive back was a nice one! Will put up a few pics from today along with the RR graph once i scanned it it, but i can say that the car has had a slight increase in bhp and a noticeable difference in torque :D

All to be revealed tonight ;)

Right, so spent the day at AMD. They fitted my INA manifold, which i was told was "a right pain in the arse" to fit. Mainly because INA supplied 3bolt |(correct number) that were all different lengths and threads! Shocking really when you think that if i had tried to fit it myself i probably wouldnt have noticed. Also i was told that the bolts were stainless steel and not the right type for a manifold that will get very hot, so at my own expense i had to have AMD supply their own.

Anyway pics of the fitting will be posted tomorrow as my camera died after i got a few shots off, so Ben from Amd will be emailing me more.

So after the fitting of the manifold and LCR fuel pump, they took her out for a few tests drives with some logging and then got her ready for the rollers;)

First run prior to the manifold and LCR fuel pump she made 218.1 bhp and 265 lb/ft of torque. Then REVO2 was tweaked and mods added and she made 224bhp and 279.7 lb/ft of torque. She was then left to cool down for 10-15 mins before the final run of the day, which was the best:D

Final run saw 226.4bhp and a maaahosive 291.2 lb/ft of torque! Very happy with the torque figure and she is now pushing the 300 lb'ft barrier :D

Here is the last bit of the final run i caught before my camera died :(

Cheers mate, yeh im well chuffed. Could have asked for abit more bhp but peak power is only there for a second or two. Torque is what you feel in really everyday driving and overtaking. The fuel pump and manifold has really given me alot more midrange and higher up the rev range and its drives really well now. Happy with the car for the first time in ages. All thats needed now is some engine mounts, hybrid turbo and mapping and job done:D

Yeh mate i would, they were SHOCKED at the fact that all three where different lengths and made from poor materials, not on really. May post this up in the INA section

Thanks Tommy, as far as the settings go im not too sure, its Revo Stage 2 but i'll have to find out what boost and timing settings its running as i dont have the SPS dongle. I know its not running max settings as i asked for it to be fairly conservative as its my daily car and i dont want things going bang.

Its fair to say i have fallen in love with the car again. God knows what i'll be like once the hybrid goes on, full blown affair me thinks

aw no worries mate im looking for a similiar torque figure to you i think i got roughly 270lbft and 230bhp with boost 8 timing 6 without mani and lcr pump, the mani's are a nightmare aswell had to grind the top of it down to make it fit!

also is your fuel gauge correct as since fitting lcr pump mine doesnt like to go above half a tank, a pic would be really helpfull of where the arrow points on the fuel pump:D

Brilliant figures without the manifold and fuel pump, you'll be pushing 240bhp and close to 300lb/ft with those mods and more boost and timing for sure. Keep me posted ;) Huuum about the fuel gauge i'll have to check. But funny you say that as when i drove down i left them with 1/2 a tank, when i got back in the car for the drive home i had 1/4 tank left, now that is probably because they did alot of test runs after the mods were fitted then about 4 runs on the rollers, so thats probably where all the fuel went. Will check tomorrow when i fill her up.
