So cars running a ko3s now, after what felt like endless problems with it, its finally on. Big thanks to Jokerman for helping with the turbo and Cuprat for tapping out some new threads for the turbo exhaust housing bolts. Top guys!

Also if anyones needing anything machined in the Aberdeen area I can highly recommend Daval Engineering, after phoning numerous companies to get a quote for drilling out the manifold to suit M12 bolts they were the only ones willing and had the job done in minutes for a brilliant price :D

Been off boost so far as was smoking a bit but seems to have dissipated now, new problem now of the speedo packing up and also the fuel gauge being erratic when cars driving, can literally watch the fuel slosh about in the tank, went right down to empty but no buzzer :wtf:

At least she's running :D

No problem bud glad its going ok

car is looking good bud. you, me and jokenman will have to meet up once all the cars are running :).

That speedo sensor is very easy to knock when doing the turbo so i would suggest it also.

who you getting to map the car?

Il get some photos up once its stopped lashing it down, haha yeah will do, should come along to the aberdeen meets mate, should be one after Xmas. Mapping will be done by Mr Dave Manson, again hopefully once the roads are dry enough

Little update,

Swapped the wheels today for some winter Yokohamas, seem pretty grippy so far but will see when it snows. Also gave it a wee clean, have neglected it recently in this weather.

Almost looks standard again...

Gave the car a proper blast as well, wow, love the Ko3s, pulls so much stronger and for far longer after the Ko3, can't wait for it to be properly tweaked :D

Not sure if its just the new TIP, but when on boost can hear an air rushing noise, almost like a boost leak but positive there's none, and checked the tip was secured properly on the turbo today, all fine.
If its just the induction noise im finally hearing, then that standard TIP is ridiculously restrictive.

LCR Splitter

Charge Pipe

Still need a 70-48mm reducer for this, but should be better than all the silicone joins.

Ok, so haven't been on here in a while and not much happened with the car due to a combination of laziness and weather, but did fit a few things recently.

JOM Coilovers (Actually pretty impressive for a budget set)

Some bumper mesh (until i can find a new bumper)

imag0334v.jpg

Moved the filter into the wing a bit more, and fitted the strut brace also

Was really impressed with the Cupra this weekend as got a phone call from the girlfriend saying she'd managed to 'get stuck' in the snow, so headed out to dig her out. Turned out she'd completely beached the car, wheels were about 3" off the ground, was a nightmare.

imag0339wc.jpg

But the Cupra pulled through, didn't get stuck once even with the new drop from the coilovers.

So after forcing her to admit that my car is in fact superior in every way and always will be, got treated to dinner :D
