You don`t mention any uprated injectors, extra fueling or reprofiled cam of any kind. If you are still fueling though stock injectors you are the first person i have ever heard of to go over 230ish bhp no matter what size or make of turbo fitted as you run out of fuel to produce the power no matter how much air you get into the engine.

Yes, it´s true. I don´t have any injection upgrade or reprofiled cam... Those hardware parts are OEM...

The OEM injectors (with the right ECU Remap) are more than suficient... With this large turbo (seems bigger and produce more HP than a GT25v / VNT25), and runing with the 1.95bar that I have mentioned, the black smoke is there... A lot of black smoke...

With 2.3bar (between 3000/3500rpm (peak) the smoke desapears... So, if we could make a turbo with this specs and that handles 2.3bar saftely, we could probably make 260Hp...

In tests, on a MAHA, with this turbo, we made 256Hp, but it was not safe to the turbo...

Maybe next week we have some test here... :D

I am not having a go at you or anyone else i just find it strange that suddenly there is a car producing over 230ish bhp from stock injectors when nobody else in the world has done so including Miguel when he has mapped some racing diesel car like Allard's race car which he maps and other cars that he has worked on over the years which have had thousands spent on them to get the last bhp out of the engine and none managed over 230ish bhp without using a re profiled cam or uprated injectors. It was because of the 230bhp sticking point the expensive uprated injectors where made. Maybe Miguel has found a new way to map the EDC 15 ecu as he is a very talented person and has mapped may last two cars.

Miguel found the "Grall" in the last November/December... There are at least 3 cars in Portugal with the same power as mine...

Miguel found some new trick to do that... I´m running the car with more than 235Hp since November/December, and more than 240cv since March... :D

Maybe next week I could post a test.

Fair enough mate sorry for doubting your figures . I have met Miguel when he was over in England before. Next time you see him tell him to get his little ass back over to Allard's in England so he can do another better map for my car as i am still running the same map before i had propane and NOS fitted.:(

No hard feelings my friend... Those 230Hp where the limit that Miguel told me last year... My car was the second one with that new map...

I´ll give him your messange... :D Your car deserve more than 230hp...

If you want, could you send me some photos with the propane system, specification, where to buy and price? My mail is [email protected]

Stay cool

@Black-Demon. My last car which was a Seat PD160 Ibiza would make 265bhp on a dyno but wasn`t very driveable with that map so keep it at 248bhp, i was aiming to take it to 300 bhp but ended up rolling the car back in November 2005. I now have an Audi A3 quattro with 327bhp at present and hoping for a lot more by the end of the year when i get my new turbo set up sorted.

Great projects my friend...

My project probably will stay in 250hp... Or may be a little bit more with reprofiled cam... Does it work??? How many hp will it give???

Send me the sites of the propane injectors, please!

Reprofiled cams work but and this is a big but on a single cam engine no matter if it is a petrol or diesel like a 1.9 PD you will get more power top end but less at the bottom therefore shorterning your power range which on a 1.9 PD isn`t very big to start with. Reprofiled cams suit race cars which are always revving high but not so good for a road car. When it comes to reprofiled cams best give devoneutopia a pm as he got Allards to fit one of theirs on his car and see what he thinks but after watching Allards test car with it on i don`t know if i could live with it myself.
Propane injection ; Some kits work like mine and some don`t like devoneutopia`s , not that i am having a go at Jason as he is a friend of mine. My propane kit added 35bhp to my PD Cupra and 40 bhp to my 2.0 PD Audi without even any remaps. It is a mod that can be taken from car to car like i have, propane is over half the price of diesel in England, a tank of propane lasts longer then a tank of diesel plus if you word it correctly it is insurance friendly and will not increase your premium as it is done for enviromental reason not as a power mod .
Here is where i got my kit fitted.

Here is some basic info as how the kit is placed in the car and works from another company but based around the same idea.

New ECU remap by TWE, for dayli use, with less smoke, and 235hp and 5**Nm... Not bad...

For fun, 245HP and 5**Nm...

Funny car, almost no smoke, and much better between 1750rpm and 3700rpm... For more fun, the power file is always there!!!

Great work, I know RS Tuning in Leeds now offer a remap for a hyprid PD150 that is good for 260bhp! Seems like thats what you now have almost!

A good turbo, like the GT2556v or the GT2260v from the BMW´s 3.0D, makes 260hp without problems!

With my turbo (similar to a 2256v from Alfa 2.4JTD), is possible 250hp... With stock injectors and stock shaft cam...

With race injectors and shaft cam, and GT2559v, there is one in Portugal with more than 300hp... No nitro or propane system yet...
