This is what happens when a Bluefinned ST with all the bolt ons met my old Leon in Stage 2+ guise (0-7seconds).
See a Stage 2+ S3 with the power with four wheel drive at 43 seconds.
The S3 topped out at 107mph, Leon 115mph

The fastest I ever saw a standard turbo Astra VXR go at crail was 14 odd seconds (I think). There may have been one that got in to 13's though.

Remus exhausts for these sound rubbish compared to the Milltek exhaust for the VXRs.
When people say they are advanced? In what way are they advanced? Interior is not as good apart from the leather seats. They do not handle well and this is widely documented not just by JC from Top Gear. The power delivery on them is not that great.
I am not saying they do not tune well. As a package they are not the best out there and LCR is a far more attractive option.

hmm this is intresting becasue at the end of the day it is all up to the power to weight ratio 
ive driven both a vxr and a cupra r but i think that the cupra r would take it easy with a remap

I think ther both on a par as standard and mapped. But the r will handle better and put the power down better.
Had a bash with one of these last night, i know the boy who owns the car through a friend of a friend, was gloss black, apparantly with some light mods, had a few goes on my private road and if honest they were pretty much on a par side by side with each other one pulled on the other everytime a gear change was made, but didn't go up to silly speeds 110+ mpg before both breaking as it was a bit wet (no snow or the like) but still couldn't get the low down power down because of traction. That was with my leon mk2 fr tdi stage 2 dpf delete at 230-240bhp and 340-350 ft lbs of torque (depending on which of the 4 rolling road results you look at). Defo slightly quicker than the standard facelift mk2 leon cupra i had a blast with as my leon edged the cupra slightly. Would have thought it would be quicker than a standard mk1 LCR

this thread still going! If you want a step up from a mk1 lcr its gotta be a mk2 cupra everytime. A VXR just wont be any quicker.

ooops seemed i made a mistake the focus ST has 330 Bhp and yes the car has lots done to it aswell300BHP FOCUS ST
Not unless hes changed the turbo
dont know why people think the VXR is a good looking car.........it isnt! Its a vauxhall, end of. This should be the 1 and only reason for not buying these cars. Will never own a Vauxhall lol

Tbh, i do like the look of the arden blue VXR, i think they are nice and do sound the bo11ocks giving it some
Why does every one like the Leon its only a seat . This debate will go on for years presume it's the same on the vxr site , end of the day who gives a fook cars a car
they like the leon cos its an Audi and Golf that is cheaper.....and better looking.
You mean the one with the porous cylinder head, weak cylinder head gaskets, sticky valves and 150bhp from 2000cc?
