The one thats zip tied to the SAI pipe?

If im looking at the one your talking about thats just a 19mm flexi that runs from my catch tank down to the drivers wing.

Ok update...

The strut didn't fit!

It was too long, even with the couple of inches play (I could make it shorter or longer with a bolt).

Judging from Peachy's picture and my strut, the Golf just has too wide of an engine bay.
Furthermore, the OE bolts didn't line up. if I lined up one side it would be crooked as hell!
Furthermore, the strut itself wasn't much higher than the fixing points, meaning it was catching on the charge pipe.

So I wouldn;t even bother trying the MK3 anymore.
I think its time for the 6N, as I am still not going for the stealers one and getting it cromed.

Damn hope someone here in Holland is looking for a MK4 golf Gti strut for a bargain :headhurt:

tobe honest if it aint a mk2 or mk3 ibiza one i doubt it will fit.

the only ones i know will fit are the momo and sparco ones.

why not get one of them copied in alloy?

Ok guys...this is still not letting me go. I still want a polished strut brace. So the below remarks came from a recent thread which might shed some new light on this: the below is from thread "Golf vr6 splitter"
