i have missfires , had them from day 1 , stealer knows i have missfires , i have no fault codes but when logging all cylinders for missfires on vag com , i have had 38 counted on cylinder number 3 on tick over
Seat dealerships just say they are within parameters.
My exhaust pops on gear change and when coming off the throttle has done that on standard from day 1 , have had the full exhaust system changed twice under Seat warranty but it still pops.
i have just resigned myself to the fact it happens and feel a bit happier knowing that a lot of other 2.0 tfsi engines are doing the same , but i didnt say i was happy
, in fact far from it , no engine should be suffering missfires like this , vag are fully aware that it happens but have not come out with a statement or technical bulletin to address it.
I personally think it is to do with the PCV recirulating crap vapours and moisture back into the system , there have been numerous postings of the intake valves with massive carbon deposits because of this crap system.
Strange we use top fuel with cleaning additives to stop the exhaust valves and injectors being clogged up but then let down by a sub £30 part recirulating rubbish back into the intake system.
I will be fitting a cai in the coming weeks as long as a well name tuner gets their fingers out , and when that happens i will check my intake valves and if they are gunked up i will be taking it up with the stealers and also fitting 1 of the various PCV fixes that are out.
