All though there is a growing claims culture, if you sue him then it won't make any difference to him will it? After all a claim is a claim whether it's for a small dent or a car.

If it has cost you money through lost earnings you should do it. Don't expect much though. My sister was run over while on the pavement by someone like our corsa driver here, managed to loose control in worcester city centre. First thing she knew about it was when she woke up in hopital the next morning. He spent the entire time in court sobbing his eyes out. She got £1300 which included lost earnings, the clothes they cut off in hospital and injuries. joke.
