Balls to it, i will get the stealers to sort it. The current headlamps look tatty anyway. Might as well get full service done at same time.
This is gonna be an expensive week

Any idea how much for a new headlight from the ****ing stealers?
You would have to get them aligned as well after, if you buy from ebay they will most likely be pattern ones not genuine ones I think they are the ones that have the body colour in the bottom of them. I take it your warranty has run out then. Replacing the headlight does not cure this in most cases your research should have told you that so don't waste money.
He needs a new as he burnt the lens on the current one trying to dry them out...

Just drilled the rear covers on mine as seen in a previous thread , will keep you posted on the results , easy to do , 5 min jobbie , must admit though , it is F**king annoying and your all right , it does make the car look crappy . This seems to be the only fault with my Tdi 130 though so I'm a happy bunny , fixed the rear washer prob ( connection under air box ) the only other bug bear I have is that with the 130 TDi its seems to be a bumper off job to replace any headlight bulbs , not looking forward to any blown bulb's .
I have condensation in the rear light too only the one, is this also a common fault, if so can you tell me what to do about it or is it just the same as the front????????
However.... my driver side headlight now has a melt bubble in the middle
What an absolute tit i am, i really should just leave well alone.
We have a 1.2 with single headlamps and I took the covers off the back and removed the bulbs and pointed a hairdryer in there - both were pretty wet and it dried them up OK.
However went to put the bulbs back and realised that the bulb shields, which are on a sort of single stalk of metal, had bent upwards with the heat. Doh!
I very very gingerly pressed them down until there were centred on the end of the bulbs but was absolutely crapping myself in case they snapped.
I'm dreading taking it for MOT in case the beam pattern is all over the place.
