I need help, as I'm getting seriously frustrated! I've got a new VCDS cable so I can access the navigation code....... yet I still can't get RNS 510 to show up on the MFD!

I've searched & searched - tried everything, yet no joy!

Can someone tell me exactly what coding I need to do or even give me there long code so I can copy it?

Or do I need to re-set the MFD once you've made a change or should it come up straight away?

I've got a 2007 Cupra & RNS 510 version c fw 3800

Many thanks

you need to go into the CAN gateway control module using VAG COM and select the option for navigation installed

WOOHOO...... SOLVED!

I had unchecked the BAP button in the navigation settings......... but YOU NEED TO RE-BOOT the RNS 510 after a code change = the clock shifted straight away & then I knew....... BINGO!!!

I can go to bed happy!!!!

Very simple - you just need to cut out a bit of plastic under the unit (that's if you get the VW version)! I sourced mine from eBay, the seller was in lithuainia!!!

Sounds like the guy I got mine from a 18 months ago... You will need to Dremel the hell outta the plastic for it to fit because of the card reader. I also had to cut a bit at the back where the GPS comes out :)

I never cut the bit at the back for the gps cable, did I need to?

Might have been the type of connector for the GPS receiver i bought but I had to cut a bit away or it would get crushed when the head unit was in it's correct place
