Looking good Char! The ariels are a right bugger to get off aren't they! I've a Shitroen C2 stubby on mine, looks miles better and didn't lose any signal quality, not noticably anyway. The radio's **** anyway

A massive pain to get it off!

Yeah my radio signal is still exactly the same but I don't listen to it anymore. Just have my whole iPod on shuffle.

Not an update as such, but i'm buying a trim tool kit for my side repeater on the drivers side which is fogged up. The bloody thing just won't come out and I don't want any paint to be damaged.

There's a nack to getting them off. They slide to one side and out iirc, I bought a trim tool for it too. What side repeaters did you get?

I've got the smoked ones (not sure what kind), they came out fine last time but i couldn't flick them out the other day and it was raining so stopped.

Its just the driver side which has a gap, the passenger side is fine.

Rear spacers, then maybe think about the roof going black. FR bumpers would be nice when I can eventually get them. Wouldn't mind an exhaust for a bit of a growl either.

You?

We're gonna look like twins by the sounds of it  was looking at the rear wheels the other day after the springs were fitted n realised how far in they were. Never noticed it before that. Rear bumpers getting wrapped in the next week or so. Check my thread I did a quick PhotoShop to show what its gonna look like

Car is looking great Char! I had a random thought today regarding drop links.

You said you needed to have the shortened links from a Ford (something or other).

I am on 35mm Apex springs. If I were to get shorter links, would that then be able to allow my car to sit lower?

If not, are there any benefits from this?

Thanks! Just asked in Gaz's thread but i'll ask again lol, you coming along to GTI Inters?

I have no idea to be honest, the reason needed for shorter is otherwise the anti-roll bar will hit on...something lol. Sorry, i'm useless! I just knew it needed them and went for ford puma.

I'm sure someone who knows more about it can provide us with a better answer lol.

haha! no worries! I had a quick read about them. I don't think they will offer me anything with a standard shock set up with lowered springs.

I doubt i will be at GTI Inters. Money i stopping me really! I definitely need to attend a car meet at some point though! Ive never been to one!

Hi Char

The car is looking great! :D especially now you've lowered it. I might get a set of Bilsteins on my Cupra and stick some of my SUPLEX Racecoils on them, I suppose it makes it that little bit easier being a spring design engineer though haha.

Where did you get your wind deflectors from?

How much did it cost you having your Seat sport spoiler painted and fitted?.. if you don't mind me asking, mine's still only primed sat in its box until I decide on having it wrapped.

Hey Jack,

Thank you :) you're idea sounds good to me! I need to go lower though. I kept looking back at it when I parked in a car park today and the back is too high still.

Got the wind deflectors from amazon. See here...http://www.amazon.co.uk/deflectors-...NFR6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336677959&sr=8-1

The total cost was £300, but that included the spoiler. So about £150 i'm guessing. People have got it cheaper on here, but all dealers seem different.

Haha thanks :), I'm gonna do a full thread for my car as soon as I reach the magical 15 posts!

I think it looks pretty perfect as it is, a lot better than my cupra's anyway, there's room to build a house under those!

Oh right thanks for the link :), are they team heko by anychance?

I wouldn't mind paying that, I paid 100 for the spoiler and my local stealers have quoted around £300 for painting and fitment, but I'm thinking of having the whole think and the roof wrapped in gloss black [B)] so I'd better get saving

Have you changed your head unit atall?

Look forward to seeing the thread.

Haha, it is a huge gap!
Yep Team Heko.

£300 for painting AND fitting?! Thats a bit steep. The roof would look good, i may get this done at some point.

Nope I haven't, the audio system isn't an issue to me.

Ah I bought a pair of team hekos from Towequip last week and they turned up broken in 2 pieces, bad times :(

I think it'd look wicked, I'll let you know how I get on with it :)

I saw after that you've got the usb, wish I had that haha. I suppose that's another advantage of DSG.. you can change songs on your ipod because you have a hand free lol.
