To confirm you can change the idle speed.

You use engine 01 adapatation.

Select 01 and the default value is 128. On my car this meant a default rpm of 760.

You can change it up to 133 which equates to 810 RPM. This may depend on default idle speed (if its running rough anyway or lower than 760 ~ you might not reach 810).

Thanks for you help people.

an easier way is with unisettings ( www.unitronic.ca ) and just adjust up idle speed in actual rpms..

hi mate, alternatively i raised mine with the cc custom settings program which is similar to lemmiwinks. you can download it from the custom code website.

once downloaded you simply connect to the right com on your lap top.

1)then read ecu.
2)you'll find a list of adjustment values you can change, one being the idle control. hit the up arrow and raise in icrements of 10 rpm. ive raised mine 20 .
3 )then write to the ecu.
4)switch the car off taking the key out. this cycles the ecu.
5)close program, re-open and then put car key back to on position with dash lights on and read the ecu . adjustments should be done.

this is just another avenue if vag com doesn't work.

gulzar:lol:

p.s, just read the above post with regards to unitronics. this is similar to custom setting so should solve your problem .;-)
