Good to know! Saves me a job!
Had a look at that site...
I was initially looking on carparts4less.co.uk and prices were:
Oil filter (Bosch - pretty good as far as I'm aware?) for £3
Pollen filter (Hengst - never heard of them) for £3.84
Fuel filter (Hengst) - £12.90
So £19.74 - UFI ones plus postage are £32.42
Are they worth the extra? If they are I'll happily pay it, just wouldn't bother if they aren't really any different.
Thanks all for the info, cleared it up for me!
Dan
i would just go for the Ufi seat Oem gear imop and you may find it cheaper at seat due to no postage
but i would pick Bosch as they use to supply the filters ect, i did pick up a Bosch fuel filter off ebay for the Fr (ARL) a while back for £16 posted same seller now sells them for £25, that's after i bought the UFI Fuel filter,
when you do get the Fuel/oil filters make sure you have the seals as they need changing as well.
have you had the Pollen filter out yet? as when i changed mine the clips broke due to never removed (think that filter was never changed as well) i got them off ebay can post link if that happens i never did check seat on clips and price.
I've actually no idea where the closest seat dealership is! there is a VW which preseumably will do all the same stuff though?
Nope, never had the pollen filter out, I'll see how simple it is when I get around to it and give you a shout if I have trouble with clips!
Thanks for your help,
Dan
I've been seeing a lot of info popping up about oil changes and that leaving them for like 20,000 miles is actually a lot better for the engine now.
I've not seen any, I can hear my oil needs changing now after 7k. . .
so when was Voice activation oil changes added was that a addon?
You not got it? I thought it was standard, maybe we just have fancier cars than you![]()
You can hear it needs topped up if anything lol
Righto, thanks chiefbonzo wrote
Thanks, do you mean the washer or the plug should be replaced? ...or both?
The plug and its captive washer are a single replacement part, and all Seat dealers should carry them as they should replace them on every oil change they do. Ican't remember how much it cost me when I bought one less than a year ago, but it was something like £1.50. More than £1, less then £2 anyway.
