The instructions reckon the wheel arch lining needs to come out to allow fitting, did you manage to fit it without this ball ache:confused:

seriously doubt u can do it without the wheel arch liner..... You dont have to "totally" remove it anyway - you can remove about 8 torx screws at the front of the arch, leave the rear bit on.
Thats what i did.

Same here, i would say thou, heat up the liner in this cold otherwise when u go to push it back it wont sit flush with the wheel arch and will look odd and crap... i made that mistake last week fitting wires thou and didnt push the liner back properly left a gap between the metal arch and liner....

Cheers for the advice. I'll let u know how it goes as i'm a bit impatient with fiddly things like this - don't want to do any damage - only brought it on monday!

.5 hrs to fit the carbon beauty on sat. This may have had something to do with the sub zero, finger numbing temperature.

However, well worth it. the sound is awsome - sounds like darth vadar after swallowing a dump valve.

I used a tank of petrol on sunday as I was on and off the boost with a grin on my face - easily pleased!

Didn't have to remove arch lining - if you jack car up can access from underneath
Have a video recording on my mates phone - try and get it on the site at some point

Silly question.
Fitted my Carbonio CAI last week. Sounds awsome, but I can't stop thinking the power is DOWN!!
Granted, only had the car for 4 days prior to fitting, so maybe I have just been getting more used to the acceleration, therefore feels slower.

Has any one else had any issues?

this is the only bad side to things.....

Many people once fit the Carbonio or any other induction have found that the MAF sensor is blown and thus the car loses power due to incorrect air velocity readings... theres loads of post about the MAF problem, have a little search for the tell tail points to see if it is the MAF, other wise.... unless u have a RR read out for ur car before and after u wont know....

I had mine RR from factory as it had a AMD remap from the dealer, then after the Carbonio i had another RR and found i had raised extra 2 bhp and 8lbs of torque.... not much i guess.. but i brought it for the looks and sound!;)

assuming you fitted everything correctly, you'll be flowing more air over the MAF now - maybe your MAF is fooked?

You'd need to do some logs with VAG-COM to find that out.
