Bought my wind back tool kit from egay. Paid about £25 for it and quite a complex kit for the money. Use it on a wide variety of cars too. Used it a couple of times and so far so good ;)

Hmm, it could be a bit seized but to be honest I really wouldn't know how to tell. Any tips greatly appreciated? :)

The piston spun easily but just didn't catch. Loosened the bleed valve too to release all back pressure but alas to no avail.

For the record, it's not threaded. Turning it won't "screw it in". You need to turn it and push it in at the same time...
I use the cube tool attached to a socket extension and wrench. And someone else to help me.

Ah! Ok - so maybe the laser one 'just fits'

So to rattle off the solutions in decreasing monetary cost:

1. Very expensive brake caliper wind back set
2. Laser wind back tool
3. Bergen wind back tool with slight mod using dremel
4. Draper multi-faced brick, a dremel mod, a clamp and 3 pairs of hands
5. A clamp and an old brake pad

So unless I hear that the laser tool also needs a dremelling I'll buy that.

Cheers all - its been fun!

Option 5 does not work or this Skinflint would have used it (well actually a big screwdriver levering piston back before I removed caliper like on the front). You need to turn and push as these are handbrake calipers. Guess you could cut down a brake pad and then clamp that but hard to get more than 90 degrees of twist. Oh and a hand file does on the Draper brick; it is soft cast steel.
