Ive had an indicated 140mph+ with my ibiza 20vt when having a play with a porche on some private test track.

Revo code with sps3-k03 turbo

Ive never have a problem myself reaching these silly speeds when I require, and the same could be said about previous tuning software I had installed

The bigger the rolling radius the lower the speed reading will be.

So, if you can get a reading of 150mph on 17" wheels then you would probably get something like 154mph on standard wheels. Also bigger wheels tend to run wider rubber, which means more resistance for VMax runs.

Ben,
I think the important detail is the circumference of your tyres, not your alloys. The diameter for the following tyres are in mm:
225/40 ZR 18 = 18 * 25.4 + 225 * 0.4 * 2 = 637.2
225/45 R17 = 17 * 25.4 + 225 * 0.45 * 2 = 634.3
205/55 R16 = 16 * 25.4 + 205 * 0.55 * 2 = 631.9
195/65 R15 = 15 * 25.4 + 195 * 0.65 * 2 = 634.5

There is less than 1% variation between the largest and smallest diameter.
As you can see from the figures (thanks to Seat & Excel), all the Seat Leon tyres have approximately the same diameter, the larger the alloys the less diameter added by the tyre wall rubber.
Once again a 5mm of tyre wear will reduce the circumference by 31mm.

Wow! I know this is way after the last post but I just had to say this has been probably the most compelling thread ive read and that is out of a lot of good threads!
I thought revo was the way to go for me, after reading this im not so sure as i think id rather get a remap that suits my mods, doesnt spike and holds boost right up until the redline.
may get a k03s though, will this make any difference with revo?
Ive just had the trial version of revo and it was fun but didnt really get much chance to take it above a ton (private road of course)

it still depends what you want, many people like revo for switchability, but as we saw at the RR day on sat, with a different map, the results are obviously different, i saw alot of spikes in the graph, its not all about i got 219bhp, its more how long it holds for etc.

I think we should have a thread with RR graphs of torque/bhp to compare the maps, could be a good info source. ive seen some silly graphs with revo, huge spikes then cos it gets so hot, it backs off. (ok mine is doing it but my car always does)

Would highly recommend star/jabba personally

I'd like to see that too, would be a good comparison to see what you prefer

Peterborough (jabba) is 80 miles away, nearest revo garage is about 10!

Have family/friends in the glos area so was maybe thinking about going custom code, really like the delivery in olly20vt's cupra, but I dont think they do a trial - or do they? Is revo the only one that does a trial?

If so, theres something i would probably say is needed, more places to do trials, for genuine people to actually compare.
I spose people abuse it but maybe if you could have a way of checking if people have already tried your software and maybe limit it to once maybe twice if they were genuine?
