what was the big prob mate?
i havent done mine yet so i cant help im afraid, you could try PM beezasport of Skorchio as they fitted theirs

When i was doing it up it didn't seem to get tight and where the sender is hollow inside it made a clean twist off. Cost alot to get the sender out including a tow truck to get it to JKM.

Just need to figure out the wiring....

I looked at the link but didn't make sense to me.
I have connected the wires like the following:
Red wire off sender to S terminal on back of gauge.
Black wire on sender to ground.
All illumination wires are correct.
And the two other terminals on the gauge to ground.

Which in my mind is right.

My autogauge sender came with a white and a black wire...so, baring that in mind...

As far as i remember, the illumination wires were physical wires which came out the back of the gauge, and then there were 3 bolts:
1) Positive - needed a 12v positive (switched)
2) Negative - any ground inside the car
3) S - wire to the white wire on the oil sender

The black on the sender was earthed, and it then worked nicely.

From wot i can make out from your wiring above, you have earthed the - and + bolts on ur gauge.

Got it sorted, it was me being a lazy idiot.
Last night i ran the wire to the gauge from the sender but couldn't be ar$ed to take the gauge out of the holder and accidently put it on the bracket thread instead of the S thread.
Oh and you do need to put the orange wire to a positive source to get the backlight.
