Poverty what is your connection with APR and I don't mean as a customer....just cannot understand that someone would go as far to hype up a company and there products as much as u and not be on the payroll or getting some serious discounts/benefits....might just be me being synical but i find it hard to understand if ur not the lengths u are going to get them business and slag off other companies...and yet to see the prove Leon CDL cupra APR v Leon CDL Cupra Revo...cause basically that's what people on here are interested in tbh!
Cheers Craig.

@ Poverty - Heading off what you are suggesting about me. What I am doing is organising a meet for the Scottish Section on the forum, same as I have done for the last few years. One of the attractions is/was a tuner being present - the only one properly represented in Scotland who was interested in participating, and I tried them all (funnily APR wasn't around up here the last few years, and still aren't as far as I know).
This year, after discussions with Crail Raceway, following the success of the SCN day last year and the VAG day organised by another forum being a flop, we combined the two. REVO again accepted and discussions followed, the idea of VAG vs Ford being one suggestion - and we are giving it a go. This type of meet has never been done up here before that I am aware of so I hope it works out
I am not even close to being in the same boat as you mate - I am not hellbent on pushing one code manufacturer and rubbishing another at the same time. For the record, I recently found out that the chances are that code on my Toledo was APR (flashed by a specialist in Scotland I won't name) and it wasn't that bad.
What I do is vouch for the code I am familiar with and like which happens to provide local back up and support and from a forum point of view as a Scotland Section Moderator here on SCN is work with that same company to provide a relevant attraction on a yearly basis for this forum, and if you have ever been up here, you will know that any such event in Scotland is rarer than rocking horse **** unlike all the 30-130 days and so called "National" events which are all 400+ miles from where I live (each way).
All I have ever done as far as APR is concerned is ask for proof of all the hype, and I am still to come across it (not that I give a toss as there is nowhere within 400 miles I could have it installed on my car and there is no way in hell I am driving almost 1000 miles in a round trip to get it done, even if it was offered to me for free. GPS logs done on what could be on a downward ski slope doesn't count. Log's do, dyno plots do, 1/4 mile times and terminal speeds on a relevant car (K04 Leon 2.0T) do.
Thread UNSUBSCRIBE - this is getting proper boring...
I don't know why this keep getting discussed - If anybody wants to know the definative answer as to which map is better then buy both and see for yourself!

I would strongly suggest that this thread is closed or binned as it does nobody any favours.
