I don't know why this keep getting discussed - If anybody wants to know the definative answer as to which map is better then buy both and see for yourself!

I would agree with that 100%, untill this new APR code came along, revo was the only option for those who wanted the most powerfulmap. MRC and jabba where thereabouts aswell but less popular.

Its interesting comparing the power delivery of the two maps from those graphs!

Care to elaborate on the graphs...thought the bhp and torque should cross at 5500rpm??

depends on the type of graph layout with the axis etc.

You can see some of the on road trait differences between the two maps on the graph.

I just want to see a side by side duel now from rolling. Will see 1/4 times from both softwares at inters no doubt

Poverty what is your connection with APR and I don't mean as a customer....just cannot understand that someone would go as far to hype up a company and there products as much as u and not be on the payroll or getting some serious discounts/benefits....might just be me being synical but i find it hard to understand if ur not the lengths u are going to get them business and slag off other companies...and yet to see the prove Leon CDL cupra APR v Leon CDL Cupra Revo...cause basically that's what people on here are interested in tbh!

Cheers Craig.

@ Poverty - Heading off what you are suggesting about me. What I am doing is organising a meet for the Scottish Section on the forum, same as I have done for the last few years. One of the attractions is/was a tuner being present - the only one properly represented in Scotland who was interested in participating, and I tried them all (funnily APR wasn't around up here the last few years, and still aren't as far as I know).

This year, after discussions with Crail Raceway, following the success of the SCN day last year and the VAG day organised by another forum being a flop, we combined the two. REVO again accepted and discussions followed, the idea of VAG vs Ford being one suggestion - and we are giving it a go. This type of meet has never been done up here before that I am aware of so I hope it works out :)

I am not even close to being in the same boat as you mate - I am not hellbent on pushing one code manufacturer and rubbishing another at the same time. For the record, I recently found out that the chances are that code on my Toledo was APR (flashed by a specialist in Scotland I won't name) and it wasn't that bad.

What I do is vouch for the code I am familiar with and like which happens to provide local back up and support and from a forum point of view as a Scotland Section Moderator here on SCN is work with that same company to provide a relevant attraction on a yearly basis for this forum, and if you have ever been up here, you will know that any such event in Scotland is rarer than rocking horse **** unlike all the 30-130 days and so called "National" events which are all 400+ miles from where I live (each way).

All I have ever done as far as APR is concerned is ask for proof of all the hype, and I am still to come across it (not that I give a toss as there is nowhere within 400 miles I could have it installed on my car and there is no way in hell I am driving almost 1000 miles in a round trip to get it done, even if it was offered to me for free. GPS logs done on what could be on a downward ski slope doesn't count. Log's do, dyno plots do, 1/4 mile times and terminal speeds on a relevant car (K04 Leon 2.0T) do.

I would strongly suggest that this thread is closed or binned as it does nobody any favours.

Yourself and I don't gain from this thread, but the Scn community does. There's now more choice

location , location
this thread is becoming a bit like scn members v poverty which is a bit of a shame.

but i can understand where they are coming from , we have now been informed that there is a new rival to Revo , and i have to say about bloody time.

makes getting , owning , tuning and running your pride and joy easier and also helps with a bit of competion.

but thats where its got to stop , if keith came on here and pushed APR then all our questions would be answered the thread would close until a new question came along.

but all i see is APR being branded and with little back up from anyone else or even proof of what their product is all about , im not doubting there are some APR cars out there and their owners rate it highly.

but all we see is poverty , i must say i applude your ethusiasm mate.
thanks for the info , if im after a map i will certainly look at all avenues before making my desicion.

Awesome GTI only sell APR now and they are a sponsor on here... So Poverty isnt on his own

My LCR will be getting APR'd but ive got nothing to compare it to, Unless Me and BIGG Addicted do some Runs/RR (His will be stage 1 REVO and mine Stage 1 APR)

Hangon, Awesome fell out with APR, then went Revo. Now I can see they are offering APR pumps but no mention of Revo on their site? Back using APR again?

2.0 PD170 DPF Removal
2.0 CR170 DPF Removal

Revo Do
2.0 CR170 DPF Removal

REVO dont do the PD170

Was just looking at APR website - if it was the right one lol _ and it seems they are all only located up North or am I wrong? Feel free to PM me their details if they are based down here in the South. I am curious to have a chat with them............
