any seats that could be a straight swap would be good! like maybe these are your some options golf recaros, lcr mk1 and 2, golf r32, the vrs seats have good colours and audi model seats? im not sure if they would go straight in but they all have airbags in seats and similar airbag setups whilst also getting the personalising look in your interior.

you dont want to be fidling around and modifying with airbags sensors and connectors under the seats as this could be life threatning

I'm sorry but I don't agree. If the manufacturer offers a variant without side-airbags, then what's the problem? I ran my Impreza for three years without airbag seats (standard WRX seats have airbags, STI seats do not), and didn't have a single problem.

Do all Ibizas come with side airbags?

I feel educated enough to make this decision as I work in the Emergency services and am very familiar about what can happen when you crash. In a situation where the side airbags activate you are going to be in serious trouble anyway!! Agreed they are a nice safety feature, but don't see them making much of a difference if you hit a lamp post at 80mph, for example...

As far as I know no other make/model will have seats that are a straight swap into a Mk4.

I wouldn't want them as they show the dirt far too easily, but surely vRS seats must use a similar fixing? Wonder how they compare to a 5 door Ibiza?

Going very off topic, I couldn't believe the difference in audio quality between the vRS and Cupra - the vRS sounds in a completely different league...I thought they shared most of the components???

well i work in accident repair on cars! so i put airbags, seats and all mechanical and bodywork and lots lots more on damaged cars! isnt a problem fitting seats without airbags into a car that used to have them in the seats just the fact that you obviously dnt have them any more. the air bag wires are harmless laying under the seat might also get airbag fault by disconnecting it! just stating that if you want to keep the airbags in the seats then you obviously need seats with built in airbags!!!!!

airbags can save your life at low speeds and can take your life if you play with them thats all im saying. impreza seats are very nice and would look really good would be fittable with a few modifications. what would you do with the rear seats?

jamesemt arent the vrs seats cream colour supports with black back rest? these get dirty really easy but they are well nice seats!

id be happy with having the rears retrimmed in black and then putting in some lcr seats as they are really supportive.

you have to remember any seats out of a five door will be no use they dont tilt forward to allow rear passengers in. i would love a set of recaroes out of a golf or something look more supportive than the standard cupra seats.

Ditto, maybe some recaros in black with red alcantara centres??

Yeah i have sat in old LCR seats and the new FR seats and they are both very supportive imho, much more so than the ibiza ones.
