Thanks for the great explanation!
I have the cupra diesel 150 and I thought I read somewhere when I goes got it that R32 or TT mk1 ARBs would fit? As you said they are more powerful models
Totally different front end set-up, different drop links to connect to ARB etc
I'd go with that one that cocadave is selling, bigger loops to fit over the driveshafts and for £100 it's only a bit more than I paid for my no-name front arb a couple of years ago!
The straight arbs from the TT etc. are bolted to the suspension struts and a lot of aftermarket coilovers are designed for non Cupra R (like ours that bolt to wishbone) or specifically for the Cupra R which have mounting points on the struts themselves.
I bought the KW ARB's as a pair (front and rear) to swap for my standard but in the end I ended up fitting the rear and putting the entire front end from a TT 3.2v6, subframe, ARB, steering rack, hubs, arms and suspension, problem I have now is that the front end has risen due to the the difference in weight between the leon and the v6's engine and transfer box etc.
Just swap the springs off the tdi struts onto the tt struts
