Still got the Ibiza too aye! Would be interested to see what she runs, but as it's not remapped not much point as it will be less than the K03s set-up at the moment!!

Mine made 284.6bhp and about 276lb/ft at a RR day back in Feb, not sure it'll make a lot more this time (maybe less if it's a warm day) but will see :) Those S14's are capable of plenty big numbers like!

You not running the K03S on the Ibiza now?

Fixed a bad kink in the Badger5 TIP and changed the Creations Motorsport upper boost hoses for SFS ones as the second one of those had a bad kink in it too. Also tweaked the Revo settings a touch but that was to reduce boost and timing a little to cure a flat spot. I think I've got a small boost leak somewhere so hoping to find that and get it fixed beforehand too.

There was also some discussion on the Eastside forum about the results of the last RR day. Turns out that quite a few folk thought their power was about right but torque looked pretty low. Someone spoke to Wallace and they apparently said that the rollers needed re-knurled or something, which caused a little bit of wheelspin so they did all the runs as inertia. This apparently affects torque readings. Not sure about power, there were a couple of standard cars there which made standard bhp but still low-ish torque. Hopefully get a more accurate reading this time :)

Am sure whatever car you bring will be hoorin fast bud!

16th June mate. It was advertised on Pistonheads which is where I spotted it and signed up. Think the list is full but there will be folk dropping out I'm sure, there always are. Probably worth sticking your name down.

I've just remembered I'll be away that weekend. There is no point sticking my car on the rollers again at this stage anyway, I shall wait till I've tweaked it :)

UPDATE...

So tonight myself and Yohan played "hunt the boost leak". Only took the pressure up to 10psi and could clearly hear air escaping from somewhere. Turns out it's from the intake air temp sensor in the front of the intake manifold. We took the sensor out and noticed there's a rubber O-ring around it, which is badly mis-shapen. Can't easily see from the pic but it's under the bracket bit, below my fingers:

Going to talk to David at Sere and see if I can get the O-ring on it's own, otherwise it'll be a new IAT sensor. Thanks again to Yohan for helping out with this!

In other news, when I parked up at home the brake pad wear sensor light came on with a loud beep. Did notice the brakes squeeking quite a bit lately. Was planning on changing the front discs and pads after I get back from holiday anyway, might need to bring that forward a bit, just not sure what to go for. I don't track the car so DS2500s are probably overkill. I've heard good things about EBC Yellowstuff pads lately tho. As for discs, no idea. Open to suggestions?

Surely it would be a normal o-ring of a certain size. Im sure you can buy bags/packs of them from Halfords or B&Q. Just if sere can't provide one, it's a pretty universial part used in loads of applications.

Im on my 2nd set of yellow stuff pads no complaints. But iv got nothing to compair them to, only gripe I have is you need to grind down the sides of the metal backing plates to fit into the brembos. But after speaking to the EBC and Brembo guys at autosport show in Birmingham they both said the small plates on the inner side of the caliper, the back of that plate becomes full of brake dust pushing the plate out reducing inner caliper space. But it's only held in with a torx screw so can be easily removed and cleaned up.

Cheers for the tip on the Yellowstuff pads. Do you mean the outside edges of the pads at the sides needs ground down?

Good to hear you have found the issue mate. No more chance of blaming me for spending money on parts :p

Brakes I can only comment on what I have tried really. I had OEM brembo discs with DS2500 pads which worked well however getting genuine OEM discs is going to cost a lot. I then switched to EBC grooved discs and Mintex 1144 pads as an upgrade. Although the Mintex performed well they were dusty as hell and squeaked like a b1tch at slow speeds which really annoyed me. I then switched back to the DS2500 on the EBC grooved discs and it is what I am currently running and have to say I am very impressed with them. Several run them and find them totally up to the job.

Yes if you imagine the backing plate ( not the actual pad material) being in the caliper it would be the two smaller sides that need grinded down, it's not a lot but it's just sumthing extra that if found iv always had to do with all my EBC pads (106, 207, puntos, supras, type-r) but if you get garage to do it then it's their problem.

As for the boost issue, as I said in t0m's thread I don't know if the IAT seal will fix the flutter yet but it was definitely leaking boost so needs fixed!

Cheers Derek, I'd planned on changing the discs and pads myself. How much do you reckon I'd need to take off? As in, would I be ok just to file them a bit or would I need to take a Dremel to them?

Again mate I can only comment on my experience and the Mintex pads did my head in. I have not tried the plain EBC discs but hear they too are well rated. With regards to noise from the grooved discs, yes you hear a bit more noise when braking but nothing major. To be fair my car is chav loud so all I hear is the exhaust and engine screaming away :D

Fair enough, I quite like the look of the Ultimax discs but they're a fair bit dearer than the plain ones, if they're not much better at stopping the car I'll probably just go for the plain discs.

It's not a huge amount u need to remove, maybe a dreadnought style file. But I used a angel grinder as I feeling lazy

Only difference I noticed with Ultimax discs was a lighter wallet lol :rolleyes: Good to see you've found the boost leak though - you'll be chuffed wi that! :D

Suppose you'll just be waiting for some better weather to see if your screeching has stopped now ;)

Haven't actually got the o-ring yet, let alone fitted it but it's on the way. Will break the spanners out and change it as soon as it does but aye, this is not the weather for driving really...

Ha don't need to worry about overpriced discs for wallet lightening, got the missus for that ;)

Any grooved disc will constantly "cut" a new surface in the pad when you brake, this is what you hear as an increase in noise. I guess this process will be providing fresh pad material for the rest of the disc so they may be right. Drilled are worse than stockers for the circular grooved effect, remind me next time you're over and I'll dig out the drilled/grooved discs in the garage ;)

It's a tad on the minging side out there tonight... :(
