no sounds like cams, manifold and a remap but still wont touch costs alot aswell for what you get

TimD said:Top speed runs are something you do once a year or so, remember not to drop the soap WHEN you get caught at that speed.
Everyone trys to break the land speed record in your car, but to race on the open road at 150 mph is dicing with death and prison imho.
So tell me, what has your 106 had done to it, to reach 160 bhp?
cu51pra said:im not saying it isn't rapid but theres rapid and then theres fast ive got a mate thats got a 106gti running 169bhp and i still beat it and even he says its quick but not top end fast

I dont know why people are quoting figures at the fly either, generally they are not the most accurate

David_smith_909 said:not with 130bhp you wont mate, maybe with 160bhp you would give a mapped beeza a "run for its money" and it would be tough, but for a 130bhp being "more than a match for a remapped ibiza" its just talkin tripe, plain and simple
106GTI's are quick on the twisties (nice and light), would leave a ibiza then, not on the straight at all unless you running 160+bhp imo and even then it would be a very interesting race
