Oh I'm an hour later.. hope the weather holds. We had snow up here earlier this week... no need! Went for the DSG aswell so looking forward to not changing gear.

Nearly cancelled when they told me it could run into 27 weeks for delivery.. took pics of it last night with all the protective wrap on it so be nice to see it all cleaned up. Already warned the dealer it better be looking a million dollars when I pick it up. Last 2 cars from same dealer network.. neither of which has been valeted to what id consider new car clean. I'm a stickler for detail.. motorbike gets cleaned after every ride and look new even though it's 20 years old this year.

Just went for the 1.4, considered the 1.8 but don't do enough miles to justify it. Plus it's 95% town work it does.

Coming from a diesel Fabia so looking forward to having an exhaust note instead of diesel clatter.

Mine has just been delivered so I'm going to be giving it a good test shortly. Got Pirelli tyres and the read window fins which I wasn't expecting!! Happy days!!

Picked up the car today. Got to say I'm impressed. Exceeded my expectations, just spent a while getting to grips with all the new gadgets. Gave it a tidy up to bring it up to my standards. It was a good 8/10 for cleanliness.. but I have an eye for detail and found some smudge marks. All sorted now though.

Sold my current car, Corsa Black edition today as my 1.4eco TSI FR in mystery blue is being delivered on Wednesday :), a driven delivery (leased car) from Warrington which is about 4 hrs drive :(

Funny thing was on the way home tonight (on the bus :ban:!) I went past Fife Seat and though I saw the same exact spec car parked in their car park, it looked brand new. Geeze if only that was mine it would save a long wait in at home on Wednesday!

Only just seen this, yes to the corsa black edition! I had one before my 66 FR, what a fun little roller skate it was, sold it on to my mum and it's been recalled 3 times since, woops

Parked side by side with a 2017 FR today. Really do like the stock alloys, I have the FR Titanium so mine are different anyway but the stock pre facelift ones were very underwhelming, big fan of the full LEDs but still prefer the front grille of pre face lift and having a chance to see that in person side by side reenforced that. It was mystery blue though which I really think suits the car

I ordered a 5dr FR 1.4 in mid-March and just had an email from my dealer today saying that my car is due to be built in 2-3 weeks time. I'm hoping for a mid-June delivery, does that sound feasible?

I had a 1.4 Mk3 FR before but sold it in Oct 2016 for an Audi A3 Sportback. The A3 was superb, best car I've ever had, but it got stolen in Feb (they broke into my house while I was sleeping and took the keys). It was a horrible experience and has put me off having another A3. Lots of Audis, BMWs and Mercs are being stolen near me. The Leon is a really nice car, but hopefully not as 'desirable'.

It will be interesting to see how the facelifted Leon compares to the A3. And how different it is to the pre-facelifted Leon I had before. Am I correct in thinking that there is more soundproofing in the facelifted Leon? I was in such a rush to order the car I didn't even go for a test drive!

I'm currently driving a friends old Ibiza (2005 plate with 83,000 on the clock), juddery wipers, stains over the seats, dent in every pannel etc so whatever happens the Leon should seem like luxury! I've added the Seat Sound System, 18" alloys, convenience pack plus, in Desire red.

Ordered my 2017 1.4 Leon on 28th Feb (11 weeks) - the dealer is telling me they still have no idea when it may come. Really disappointing. I was told it would be 12 weeks.

Ordered my 1.4 FR back in Feb. Initially told delivery would be May, checked with the dealer the other day and he now reckons June. Apparently there is a global shortage of the 1.4 engine.

Yeah 1.4 engines are in high demand across a lot of vag models atm. Plus it depends what options you've specd as well. I waited something like 8 weeks for mine but if I wanted white it was going to be another 12 weeks longer than that!!!! Absolutely loving mine though, have done since I got it.

Finally managed to get through to someone who can give me an actual date. Not good news....

My order was placed with Seat on 4th April. Dealer via lease company told me the current lead time was 8 - 12 weeks.

So after a chat with Seat today they have confirmed a non Cupra Leon has roughly a 12 weeks wait from order to delivery. A Cupra has an additional 4 weeks lead time on build and delivery.

So on my actual order, I have a potential build week of 29. This equates to w/c 17th July. he stressed this isn't confirmed and there is a good chance it could be pushed back.

He said assuming you do get that build week you are looking at a minimum of 4 weeks from build to delivery.

Therefore, I'm mid to late August for delivery or 16 to 18 weeks. Bugger. esp given my current car goes back in a couple of weeks...

My 1.4 tsi dsg leon st moved from week 20 to 23. Just find it last week it's been moved to week 26 now and that's not confirmed. It's really getting ridiculous. If not that I'm 2 months in, I'll cancel and go for sth else.

Is there a way to track your car other than ringing the dealers you ordered it from? Sick of bothering them
