Fitted a Toyo tip last weekend, so now the dv is shifted further away from the maf. Cos its a tight fit it has to go in reverse otherwise the pipes don't fit.

Prefer it in standard though. Seems to be a bit rough in gear change since. Maybe I didn't tighten something back enough! ha

I know it aint a VAG M8 but when i had my subaru if i used the baileys dump valve it was eratic when changing gears and gave a minor jumping issue like it couldnt be driven smoothly if the std recirc was fitted it did not have this problem maybe the dump valve springss was hard or something but just had that niggly problem which could be felt whilst riving it was running 23psi though lol....

i got a 007p on my lc and only ever tryed it in normal way and it runs perfect so if im honest i dont wanna try reverse

If the car's remapped and too soft a spring is used then I guess it could push the valve open slightly?

True but isnt that a poor spring issue rather than orientation? Wouldnt be optimum in the correct fitting if the springs too weak.

That could be what they mean though.

I'm pushing 20psi and I have just tried swapping it over back to normal and made no difference just sounds pants ;) lol so will be swapping back in a minuet :p lol if your pushing 25+ psi then yea I can see it happening bill has also confirmed this ;) but dout a stage two will give any issues

so i fitted mine in reverse, and there was the slightest noise, not much different to the little whoose u get when its fitted normally....

i seem to have a good boost but dont have a boost gauge???

anyone else had a quite noise and found the reason?? ive got a green spring

do you have the dumpvalve relocation kit fitted? if so, like mine it isnt loud. if you fit the dump valve to the tip then its really loud.

also remove the sound proofing from the underside of the bonnet, makes induction noise and dumpvalve noise much louder ;) plus its free

As sam said that helps but tbh on mine I don't need to :D get great induction and sv noise with it still in :)

You got lc or lcr?

I had it in reverse to try it out and the only thing i noticed was the ching noise when changing gear and the car didnt feel as torquey, with it fitted in the normal way, the car felt so more wanting to go and torquier. With the DV relocation kit you cant hear the ching when fitted in reverse but it still doesnt feel as torquey when fitted in reverse with the DV relocation either. Maybe my car just prefers it fitted the normal way
