Ive just recently got hold of my cupra and its on 55,555 miles, so im looking to change the timing belt.
Problem is Ive heard that you need to replace the pulleys and other bits aswell? Is this right?
The price I seem to be getting from everywhere is around the £350 mark...
Violent seat belt
My seat belt on my drivers side flies back when released and has put small dents/scratches on the door card plastic. Does anyone no a way or a company that can sort these out. Also does anyone else suffer this problem.
How do you know when there is the correct tension on the belt when adjusting the tension pulley?
I know that you can buy a tool but is this really neccessary?

My motors done 54,000 miles and the cam belt is due a change. There's no way on earth that ill be able to do it my self so how much is this going to cost if i get it done at a garage?:(

I have a alhambra 2ltr 1997 i want to change the cam belt but not sure if i need special tools or locking pins for changing the cam belt and is it worth changing the the tensioners as well
Has anyone got had any probs with timing belts failing . I have a mk1 `02 cupra which is coming up to 50k .I know seat say it`s to be changed at 120k but there`s no time limit . As the car is coming up to 5 years old I`m getting a little worried about the age of the belt .
ive just bought a used W reg leon and it has FSH but in the back is a sticker which is dated 2003 saying water pump changed and toothed belt...
would this toothed belt be the cam belt or just the fan belt?

I have a squeaky fan belt on my Ibiza and its really annoying!!
My question to all you clever people is...how do you adjust it? I have had a look but i cant find any way of tightening the belt :(

Does anyone else find that their seat belt warning light goes off when there is something really light on it?
I can get mine to go off just by lightly touching the area where the sensor is. Even my wallet will set it off!
The garage have told me it's not too sensitive, but for it to go...
