Ibiza Cupra TDI with 50K on the clock,

This is what came out -

And this is what went in -

Manifold Ported and cleaned up a bit

Also removed the intercooler and pipes and gave them all a clean.

Wow!! a very noticeable difference , pulls more willingly and more reactive than before. The Cupra TDI mapped isn't a slouch, but now it's even better

No chance glad i've done it, but was quite time consuming. It's alot easier on the PD130, as the Cupra EGR system gets in the way, preventing easier access.

I wouldnt know where to start... but i know where i would finish... holding a massive bill.

What did you use to clean it with?

Just soaked the parts in engine cleaner overnight, then attacked them with a tooth brush, and then the fun started.....

im going to have to get the haynes manual and see whats going down, give it a good clean out.

Yip, I agree. Though It was worse than I expected for only 50K on the clock. Definitely recommended though, it's definitely full of life again.

It certainly is, but thats the price we pay these days with this "greener world" of ours

mines dont 90k never had my EGR of thinkin of takin it of soon clean it out i think

Worth doing IMO. Did the same on my 130PD Sport, and same result, though that did have over 100K on it.

Ive been toying with EGR delete, but unsure about it. But straight through turbo back exhaust is a must...

£125 quid tax...

one of the best things iv done is decat and straight through exhaust theres a Derby meet tomoz seams your both not far from Derby should come down

It's a lot easier on the PD130, you're right. As for the meet, wish I'd known about it sooner, I'm away this evening.


Just had a look, last Wednesday of every month. I shall remember that cheers.

me and 2 others have a photoshoot with fast car on the 13th of august so might try and get it done befor then checkin top speed 0-60 Times and 0-100 times iv never done this befor so bit worryed i dont want to blow my turbo up lol

is it a few hours job to take EGR of clean it and refit it ?

mite have a look at cleaning the bits out, is it hard to get them off, i wont do the intercooler so wont need to remove the bumbper.
