    "Changing your settings" message.

It's likely your car has a tonne of outstanding updates One will be for the infotainment system and the other will be for the telematics control module. Combined, they should help prevent this from happening

    Brakedown/info call loop

Sounds like the old telematics box issue but that suppose to be sorted. Did you try the trusty reboot of the infotainment unit. Long hold on the on / off switch till the splash screen reappears. That's the normal one you do if the infotainment system is playing up. Probably isn't that thou...

    SOS Error

The Ateca is indeed fantastic but it's probably the telematics module and firmware. The early fault which it took a time to fix and Seat was at the end of the queue in the Vag group it was the telematics module. The previous owner was probably making do and not getting it fixed. It got around...

MIB3 - Update stuck, bootloop, and missing FEC's

In that case, it's likely you have a telematics update outstanding (amongst many other updates)
  6. East Yorkshire Retrofits

SOS / Travel Assist unavailable errors after 1940 update

As above, it's likely your telematics module is on an old (buggy) software release

MIB3 - Update stuck, bootloop, and missing FEC's

The list of codes will always be blank… the SWaP/FoD is stored in the diagnostic gateway not in the infotainment unit If your vehicle doesn’t have a telematics module, then you won’t have wireless connectivity

    Departure setting 1 not working

MIB3 - Update stuck, bootloop, and missing FEC's

Before I had wireless connectivity without any issues, I lost the ability to turn on wifi or hotspot before the update when I did a factory reset to my unit and after that I thought with an update all will be fine but it’s not. Now I can’t even turn of the eSim.
  10. SOS Error

As I understand it this acknowledged software fault with the infotainment system does now have a curative software update. It’s available free on demand from a Seat dealer. It seemed to work for me, but by then the poor battery mileage, the exclusive touchscreen controls and the infotainment...

    SOS and popping sounds

It's the telematics unit. I recall they need to be changed where there is an issue / updated. Effected the whole VAG range but they have weeded the fix into the product range but I guess if it's doing it, it's not been fixed. Either a firmware updated or the telematics unit replaced. The mib3...

Still on 1898 but I need to get it updated as I get random reboots since updating from 1790.

    Cupra formentor wireless carplay help

Your car must have the telematics control unit installed. MOI3 doesn’t support wireless full link without it
  14. SOS and popping sounds

Sure we know what the fix is, that's been known for months. Why does it only happen in the UK though?
  15. SOS / Travel Assist unavailable errors after 1940 update

There'll be firmware for the telematics module to do as well. Mine had to go in twice to get this sorted - all done under warranty though. As soon as I said "SOS error" to my dealer they knew exactly what the issue was as it's been so widespread.

    Brakedown/info call loop

That's the one they call the telematics box. It was that and the infotainment unit firmware. Defer to @East Yorkshire Retrofits to explain. VAG sorted out VW cars first, Skoda then Seat / Cupra. The issue ran from 2020 on. They were slow to sort it out. Quite a few people abandoned ship with the...

    SOS and popping sounds

That makes sense. Mine didn't do this when the dealer updated it to 1890. They then updated to 1899 and it started doing it again (plus loads of other issues I didn't have on 1890). Now on 1940, everything is great apart from the speaker pops & SOS!

    DSG Gear selector fault

...Since I already have problems trusting them I went to see the car and scan it with OBD11. In fact there were new errors related to Telematics module. Technician followed the one about audio problem - B1994F6. One extra day for diagnosis, one for getting the parts shipped. It ended up with...

    Rebooting mediasysteem solved Finaly

Yes, I've heard that. My telematics was updated last year and it stopped doing it. Then I had an update to 1899 in March and it started doing it again, and still is. My dealer has said everything is up to date so I'm not sure what else I can do.
