Hi Buddy,

I can tell you exactly what they cost, please see links below (funnily enough, the blanking plate was cheaper form Progressive's eBay store than they're own store!).

OEM Screws:

Genuine Blanking Plate:

Hope that helps!
Thank you for this!

Firstly this was a very long time ago but

I started off with the R600 and cant say I ever noticed any difference in performance but I did have issues when trying to install a Stage 1 map, ended up having to revert to stock box. However I will still using the stock pipework.

Later on I changed it to the Revo Open Cone setup (for noise impact) which worked very well on a noise level but again no big change to performance (butt dyno)

I would stress in those days (and it was a long time ago) I did not do much track work so not sure if I would have noticed the difference there.

I then went stage three which means I now run a modified turbo and have the full Revo front to back air system (along with loads of other stuff) so the car has been setup to run on this setup but I have upgraded lots of bits to keep engine, dsg and oil temps down.

That’s really useful information @tracktoy thank you…think I’ll save a few pennies and stick to the blanking plate mod and opening up the other side as @nd-photo.nl has done.

Cheers,

Nick

To be honest, I didnt pay that much attention to it. But I can imagine that it helps, getting as much air to the turbo as possible was the goal
I must admit, I posted that before seeing that you’d gone whole hog with a new filter and pipe too!

The Mrs’ stomach dyno says it’s a bit stronger but we only went about 2 or 3 miles. Certainly sounds better but still quiet compared to some cars I’ve owned in the past.
“Stomach dyno”, love it 🤣

That’s cool, not too loud is where I want to be…mentally close to pushing the button on the R600, just financially not there yet!

I just gave the passenger seat a bit of a spruce up, it's first time since I got the car last June.

I sprayed the seat with upholstery cleaner and used a brush attachment on my drill and gave it a good going over! Then used the Bissell spot clean pro for the first time, I only put clean water in it as I wanted it to try and remove as much of the cleaner as possible.

It looks pretty good, but they always do when they're still damp, hopefully it'll still look good when it's dry😅

As I wasn't going anywhere over the weekend I cleaned the driver's seat and rear seats.
It's all come up quite well, some bits are nearly dry. My boys have snacks in the back of the car, so I've got a seat cover to keep the seats gleaming underneath!

Yeah it’s not the cheapest of intakes but the almost factory look and the fact it’s quite tame in terms of noise suits me for a daily kid lugger.

If you are after loads of noise I wouldn’t say the r600 is the one but maybe a turbo muffler delete will help.
