Dashcam wiring guide for MK3 Leon

Well, after 8 months of having the cable for my rear cam running along the centre tunnel and over the rear seat, I finally got round to running the cable along the right hand side of the headlining to the rear camera!!

I have a strange issue though.
The 12 volt lighter socket from the centre console was live, I've used it with a tyre inflator . I performed this installation using a piggyback fuse and I put the 20 amp fuse in the top of the piggyback and put the piggyback it in F40. The dash cam works perfectly but the centre cigarette lighter socket stop working. it used to work.
What on earth is going on there
?

I'd test the power on the fuses or if they don't have the little test points remove them and check the female connectors in the piggy back housing.

thanks for that but will it not be the case that if the fuse was in error or the piggyback sockets were in error ... then the dash cam wouldn't power up anyway?

and a very dumb one too.
