Overhead pod door switch function?

Hi folks. I'm still getting to grips with the 2021 Cupra Leon phev I just bought. I think I know what most of the tech does (that's despite the 380 page manual).

But.. on the overhead pod near the map lights there's a button with an open door symbol and "off"

I pressed it but the doors still remained attached.

I searched the manual but I can't find what this does. Something to do with auto locking ?

Cheers

Pete

It's for the interior lights. When off - lights will remain off when the doors are open.

"I pressed it but the doors still remained attached."

Thanks - that made me chuckle, made me think of the 007 Aston with an ejector seat

Given the issues VWAG have had with tech on cars recently, it wouldn't surprise me if the doors did fall off if you pressed the interior light switch.
